Decatur National Baseball

A man who loved sports and willingly umpired and scheduled umpires in Decatur for over a decade passed this summer. Sad to see him go, but thankful he is no longer suffering with his COPD. Glad we were able to celebrate his service to the league on closing day this season.
A Celebration of the life of Don Stephenson will take place on Friday, July 31 at Double Tree Inn in Decatur from 1-5pm in the Vision Meeting Room.
His family and friends invite you to come out and share a “Don” story.
Dress is casual and food/drink will be provided. Stay as long as you’d like and help celebrate a man that made Decatur better.

Decatur National 8U Black comes back with some bling from the USSSA State All-Star tournament in Oxford, Al.

With wins against Albertville and Helena in bracket play, it put them in the championship for their bracket. Falling to Tuscaloosa Nationals 15-19.

All three teams had a great weekend at State, proud of our 8U Red and 10U teams as we wrap up this season.

This weekend, our 11U & 12U head to Saraland to compete in the Cal Ripken All Star State Tournament. Wishing them the best! Follow them on GameChanger!

💣⚾️ A special moment at the USSSA State Tournament!

Ten-year-old Xyden “Duke” Luckett delivered a blast that won’t soon be forgotten, launching an estimated 250-foot home run in Decatur National’s opening game against Springville. Home runs of that distance are incredibly rare at this age, making it an even more impressive accomplishment!

Duke’s big swing helped propel Decatur National to a 12-2 victory and a great start to state tournament play.

Congratulations to Duke and the entire team! Keep playing hard and making memories. We’re proud to see Decatur National represented so well on the state stage! ⚾🔥
