With Regan Lewis, a member of the Decatur Board of Education recently resigning, the Board is looking to fill the open seat.

The Board is now accepting resumes from individuals intestinal in filling the seat.

School board accepting resumes for open seat The individual tapped for Lewis' open seat would serve the unexpired term through the next board election in April 2023.

We are still in summer - which means - these amazing young people are still at it.

On yesterday ...

Healthcare Bootcamp with Benie Kalala was in full swing! We found these two in the scrubs and ready to shadow HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Decatur. I heard they were in the operating room and watch a couple of surgeries, asked a few questions, in physical therapy and had a pretty good lunch in the cafeteria.

What can we say about the Residential CNA's. They have put in some work! Yesterday we spent the day at Parkland College so they all could sit for their exam on the same day. And, so - this is it! They are D-O-N-E and will find our results soon.

We do this with community - not for community!
