Due to the uncertain weather conditions related to the approaching storm and the potential for tornadoes associated with this weather system, all Calhoun County School sites will be closed Friday, October 9, 2026. The possibility of flooding in low-lying areas and the timing of this weather system make this the safest decision for our students and staff. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

School will resume for students on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, after fall break (10/12 – 10/13/2026). We encourage everyone to stay weather-aware and monitor local weather updates throughout the day. Any additional announcements will be shared through the district’s ParentSquare, social media, and news outlets.
