STUNT is officially the 94th NCAA Championship sport after legislation was approved across all three NCAA divisions at the 2026 NCAA Convention.

UC Davis announced STUNT will be elevated to NCAA varsity sport status beginning with the 2026–27 academic year, adding another Division I program to the growing collegiate STUNT landscape.

The NCAA will vote this week on championship status for STUNT and Acrobatics & Tumbling during the NCAA Convention in National Harbor, Maryland. The outcome could shape the future of both sports at the collegiate level.

STUNT breaks records with 600 games and 76 teams in the 2026 College season. The sport meets all NCAA criteria ahead of a January vote on championship status.

Stunt Daily is now accepting nominations for its inaugural “Ten Who Make A Difference” recognition program.

This annual list will spotlight ten individuals—athletes, coaches, program leaders, STUNT industry leaders, or the best stunt parents or supporters—who have made measurable contributions to their teams, gyms, or their communities through leadership, advocacy, education, or outreach.

Nominations are open until November 15 for anyone aged 16 or older, regardless of role or title.
