Learning the system of Reiki to be rooted, spacious, connected & to remember ourselves. "The mind, body and spirit are hardwired together, and to operate as if they are not is to not operate at your full potential." --Norma Wong

Prepping Isn't Just About Food Storage: Resilience, Connection & Hope 10/04/2026

Practices To Be Prepared for the Future in our Bodies, Hearts, Minds & Spirits:

Things are feeling unstable these days, with higher prices, disrupted social services, an unwanted war, and even our Constitutional rights on shaky ground. And all around the questions of "How long will this go one? How bad will it get?"

All of this has understandably generated a lot of anxiety, as well as many responses around how to prepare for what might come. Having spent most of my adult life on the edges of what might be considered prepping communities because of my involvement with food sustainability work, I spend a lot of time with these questions.

And, as a Reiki practitioner and teacher, I am also very focused on how we prepare our communities mentally, emotionally, and spiritually/energetically, an addition to materially.

It is my believe and contention that we absolutely can turn our society towards a future that is much more sustainable, just and safe than the one we are heading towards now, and whether or not we do has entirely to do with our ability to remain resilient, connected and hopeful, making choices that move towards greater possibility. The practices offered in this video are simple, effective and reliable support to help us cultivate resilience, connection and hopefulness, to provision us internally for whatever may come.

Humanity Over Nationalism: Remembering Hayashi's Choice in His Birthday 09/17/2026

Celebrating Hayashi's Choice on his Birthday:
Chujiro Hayashi is a central figure in the lineage of the system of Reiki, in particular for western practitioners because of Hayashi's role in helping establish Reiki in the west as the teacher, friend and supporter of Hawayo Takata. But there are aspects of this story that are rarely told, details which throw into relief just how impactful Chujiro Hayashi's life and death are to the larger story of Reiki in the west.

Two days ago (September 15th) we celebrated Chujiro Hayashi's birthday, and the impossible choice that became a wellspring of spiritual medicine we can draw on today as western carriers of this lineage with responsibility to uphold it.

Much of the history I share in this video is detailed in the book Women in Reiki by Silke Kleeman and Amanda Jayne

✨ MEET THE VOICES OF RADIANCE: REIKI IN CLINICAL SETTINGS, the upcoming interview series in Reiki Women Podcasts !

This series, the three of us are joined by guests who bridge two worlds: the treatment table and the hospital ward:

✨Dr. Natalie Dyer (16 Sep): Center for Reiki Research; lead author on a large-scale Reiki effectiveness trial and on the study of distance Reiki for frontline healthcare workers during COVID-19.

✨Teresa Morris, RN (23 Sep): Registered Nurse with over 35 years of experience blending conventional and complementary medicine. She has seen firsthand how Reiki enhances conventional care, "I once saw a patient transform after using Reiki" and helps people tap into their own healing abilities.

✨Author Dr. Ann Baldwin (30 Sep): author of Reiki in Clinical Practice: A Science-Based Guide, Professor Emerita of Physiology (University of Arizona), 150+ peer-reviewed publications, and 20 years as Research Coordinator for the Center for Reiki Research.

✨Helene Williams & Marleen Duffy (7 Oct): Marleen founded Medical Reiki International (Sligo, Ireland) after 25+ years of Reiki practice in hospitals, hospices, and cancer support centres including a pilot programme at Dublin's National Maternity Hospital that drew 97% positive patient feedback. She trained under the late Raven Keyes, who pioneered Reiki treatments in operating rooms. Helene teaches alongside her, with nineteen years of bringing the system of Reiki into healthcare settings. Together they train practitioners to speak the language clinicians understand.

✨Casey Neth, MS (14 Oct): Reiki teacher, integrative wellness practitioner, and PhD Candidate in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University. Her doctoral research explores transformative well-being through Reiki, expanding the evidence base by elevating the voices of those whose lives the practice has changed.

✨Then on 21 October it all comes together: a research round table where Ann, Casey, Natalie, and Teresa are joined by two more research voices, Akleema Ali and Dr Elisenda Cama i Gibernau.

✨And on 28 October, the three of us close the series, looking back over what these conversations taught us.

✨Begins Wednesday 16 September on YouTube.
