This is exactly how nail tech careers get ruined.

Someone with a big platform gives a loud, confident “tip”…
and suddenly thousands of nail techs start repeating it without even thinking.

“Don’t use 240 grit. Use 180 grit or your nails will lift.”

Really?

Let’s think logically for a second.

Is the problem really the grit…
or the technique of the person holding the file?

Because lifting doesn’t magically appear from a number on a file.

Lifting happens when the prep is wrong.
When the pressure is wrong.
When the technique is wrong.

But instead of learning real technique, many nail techs keep consuming free random advice online.

And what happens next?

Clients come back with lifting.
Clients come back with damaged nails.
Clients stop coming back at all.

And the nail tech is confused…

“Why is this happening to me?”

Because you learned your technique from people who don’t actually understand what they’re teaching.

Educators like this don’t just give bad advice.
They literally break careers.

First they confuse nail techs.
Then nail techs unintentionally damage their clients’ nails.
And eventually many of them quit the industry completely.

All because they never invested in real education.

So ask yourself a simple question:

Do you want random tips from the internet…
or do you want to actually understand the technique behind what you do?
