We offered another scholarship last week to a woman who was unable to afford her outpatient therapy appointments. 💚

Yesterday, the co-founder of ENF, Charlie White and board member, Ricardo Mancia visited Dallas Children's Advocacy Center to make a contribution of 26 remaining duffle bags from our partner, Olympia USA.

“DCAC is the only agency of its kind in Dallas County, working in agreement with public and private agencies to investigate, prosecute, and provide healing services for child abuse cases in Dallas County. They reduce the re-victimization of the child, remove barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhance criminal prosecution with their distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to these complex and severe cases.”

Charlie is also on the underwriting committee for this year’s Art for Advocacy. Art for Advocacy celebrates the transformative healing power of art and raises funds and awareness for DCAC. Hosted by Stephanie and John Roberts, the evening includes cocktails, a silent art auction featuring 80 works, a seated dinner, and a live art auction. Just this week, we helped THREE more clients!

Eyes Not Forgotten first helped a tribal member escape an abusive situation, who was also struggling with substance abuse. She was so desperate to get into recovery that she went to the bus station hoping for a ticket. I got a call yesterday and we immediately purchased her an Amtrak ticket. She admits to a program in California tomorrow!

ENF then helped another woman who was one year sober, but unfortunately relapsed when she went home. She’s on the verge of losing her job and house if she doesn’t get help. We purchased her a plane ticket and she will be admitting to a SUD program this week!

Lastly, we helped a trans female to afford a therapist for processing trauma through EDMR and Talk Therapy!

This particular scholarship went to a trans client struggling with an eating disorder and depression. 🙏🏼💚

Thank you to those who contributed to our “baby formula shortage” fundraiser. ENF toured and presented a check to Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas today.

This nonprofit does incredible, ethical work to improve the health and survival of infants. They also launched an initiative in May to provide aid during the formula crisis. 🙏🏼💚
