Have an amazing getaway less than 2 hours south of the DFW metro (2.5hrs north of Austin) in Glen Rose, Texas near the popular Wildlife Safari Center! The property is 7.5 miles spanning across 3 different counties.

Rough Creek Lodge, Ranch & Resort is a hidden gem that I never knew existed! This is a chic resort with an amazing resort that you would not expect from a small Texas town!

🛏Room Details: I loved the Dwight Eisenhower Suite that has a bedroom and separate living room.area with a large balcony with beautiful creek and Texas Hill Country views! Spacious bathroom, fridge, coffee maker and tvs in each room including the bathroom.

🍽Restaurant: The food at their restaurant led by Chef .cook.rough is 10/10!! They are a farm to table restaurant with a revolving menu that is carefully curated and includes speciality game such as quail and antelope which was so good!

🎣Family friendly with so many activities that are included at the resort with a family pool and an adult only pool! Check out my story highlights for full details! ❤️

House wine: why is it never served from a bottle? 🍷

At a beautiful elevated Lebanese dinner in Dallas, I was poured a house red from the Bekaa Valley — Levantine de Musar. A vibrant red blend with notes of cherry, plum, to***co, and warm spice. Smooth tannins, bright acidity… and honestly, perfect with lamb kebabs and Mediterranean dishes.amb kebabs and mezze.

It was a reminder that “house pour” doesn’t mean overlook it… it means stay curious.
