Successfully completed this project and video while navigating a migraine, life wont hold me back 🤪

Finally took the time to fix my Vox Apache. About a year ago the power switch broke on me, and I figured it would be easy enough to replace. I got started and was sure I had some similar switches laying around. After desoldering and removing the old switch I realized I in fact did not have what I needed, and took a quick trip to Home Depot. There I found these cute boxy switches, which I need two of because of how the wiring works for this guitar. Since I didn’t want to wait for the correct switch I had to cut out a new hole for these new switches on the pick guard. I decided to use a translucent yellow that I think accents the sunburst finish in a fun way, and exposes all the goofy electronics inside. More to come on this project, I now want to redo the plate for the delay pedal, and also UV print some labeling on the main pick guard.

This guitar has been a very rewarding project and a fun venture into music, electronics, and design.
