It's easy to make assumptions about people based on a chapter of their story.
But at Exodus, we've had the privilege of watching women rebuild their lives, strengthen their families, pursue education, secure employment, and create futures that once felt impossible.
The truth is that lasting change doesn't happen because someone is perfect. It happens when people are given the opportunity, support, and community they need to move forward.
Every woman who comes through our doors has a story. And every story deserves more than a label.
Because transformation happens in community. ❤️

There’s something incredibly emotional about watching one of our moms receive the keys to her very first apartment.
Not because it’s just an apartment, but because of everything it represents. Stability. Safety. Independence. Hope.
Moments like these are built through months (and often years) of hard work, support, accountability, encouragement, and community walking alongside her every step of the way.
A new apartment means more than a change of address. It means children going to sleep in a peaceful environment. It means a mother realizing she’s capable of building something different. It means generational cycles beginning to break.
We celebrate these moments because they matter deeply.
And we’re so proud of every woman who takes this brave step forward. 🤍

There's nothing quite like hearing it in their own words. 💛

At this year's Gala, a few of our alumni shared how the foundation they built at Exodus is still holding them steady all these years later - through motherhood, career, setbacks, and breakthroughs. Their stories is the reason we do what we do.

Restoration isn't a moment. It's a foundation that carries a family for generations.

...She’s welcomed into a safe, furnished home. She’s surrounded by mentors who know her name. She hears biblical truth spoken with compassion. She begins to experience community that is steady, patient, and real. And slowly, courage replaces shame. Stability replaces chaos. Hope takes root.

For over 40 years, we’ve seen what relational healing can do. When you engage with Exodus, you aren’t simply supporting services, you’re helping create the kind of environment where lasting transformation becomes possible.
