James Beard Award winning Chef, operates truly one of my favorite restaurants in the Houston area. Every experience at has been better than the last and for my last visit I got a chance to try out their $85 tasting menu. BOTB is located in Spring, Tx… roughly about 30 miles from Downtown, but trust me when I say it’s worth every single mile traveled and minute spent driving.

These guys are at the forefront of a new beginning for Pakistani restaurants in Houston.

After operating as a food truck for a little over a year, has opened their Brick and Mortar (while still operating the food truck) in the heart of Sugar Land’s Business Center. Between my first experience at the food truck and second experience at the storefront, this has easily been some of the best Pakistani BBQ the city has to offer imho.

-Chicken Tikkas
-Chicken Wings
-Daal Chawwal
-Garlic Mayo Roll

not pictured. The Beef Boti with Charbi is outstanding.

One of the most random side quests of my life was winning an Emmy with and the team.

We filmed an episode of ELAL where we explore the Pakistani food scene in Houston through my lens. Last November, we were up for a Lone Star Emmy.. and WON! Although my name wasn’t officially on the award, Chef gave me his Emmy to keep. What a guy. This is a big win not just for us, but the entire Pakistani community. A big thank you to and everyone involved for allowing us to put Pakistani food on a stage this grand. Thank you also to and for allowing us to film this.

-Chicken Dumplings
-Lamb Goshnaan
-Korma Chop
-Small Plate Chicken

Overall, it was out of the realm of what I am used to eating, but satisfying nonetheless. If I were to go back, i’d get the Korma Chop and Chicken Dumplings again.
