Inspiring minds through nature and science. At the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, you can race a T.

rex, challenge friends in robot competitions, explore the astonishing links between dinosaurs and modern-day birds, experience a simulated earthquake, journey through the universe, and test what it means to “be human”. Everything from dinosaurs to DNA to diamonds are packed into five levels of hands-on discovery and adventure. We built a Museum to inspire the life-long learner in all of us.

What was Perot Museum like in the ’90s? 💭

Back then, it wasn’t just one museum — it was three separate Dallas institutions: the Dallas Museum of Natural History, the Science Place, and the Dallas Children’s Museum. In 2012, they merged to become the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Victory Park.

Today, we’re celebrating 90 years since the founding of the Dallas Museum of Natural History and honoring how far the Museum has come along with the educators, scientists, and community leaders who helped create a home for science learning right here in Dallas. 💚🥳

Happy National Dinosaur Day 🦕

Ever wondered what it would’ve been like to walk beside these prehistoric giants? These photos compare Perot Museum VP of Science Ron Tykoski’s hand to the enormous neck vertebrae of an Alamosaurus discovered in the Black Peaks Formation of Big Bend National Park.

See this incredible fossil and many more in our T. Boone Pickens Life Then and Now Hall on your next visit: https://www.perotmuseum.org/exhibits/halls/life-then-and-now-hall/
