Mark your calendars — The March of the Triceratops comes to the Perot Museum in July 2027!

For the first time in North America, come face-to-face with the only known Triceratops herd ever discovered. This landmark exhibition brings together five extraordinary fossils that offer rare insight into how these iconic dinosaurs may have lived, moved, and survived more than 65 million years ago. Their remarkable discovery is helping scientists explore a fascinating question: Could Triceratops have lived together in groups?

The March of the Triceratops was developed and produced by Naturalis and is presented and toured in partnership with MuseumsPartner.

The exhibition is supported by City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture, Dallas Tourism Public Improvement District, and Visit Dallas .

💚 Green Fluorite: Sourced from China’s Xianghualing Mine, this specimen is known for its rich green color, impressive transparency and glassy luster.

🟣 Purple Ball Fluorite: With its distinctive rounded shape, this specimen from Anhui Province, China, showcases how a mineral's atomic structure and environment influence its final form.

🧡 Cubic Fluorite: This striking yellow-purple fluorite from Cave-in-Rock, Illinois, features a single, large cube crystal. Unlike most specimens from this location, which typically form in clusters, this one stands on its own.

💜 Purple Fluorite: This unique specimen is from China's Xinjang region and features a dramatic, stepped cubic growth and intense purple color.

Sometimes, you just have to take a chance and trust there’s something amazing waiting to be discovered. ✨

That’s exactly what our paleontology team did when they collected this concretion. Months later, they’ve uncovered a nearly complete forelimb from a sauropod dinosaur from the Antlers Formation. 🦕

“What’s amazing is we didn’t see any exposed bone in this concretion in the field,” said Dr. Ron Tykoski, Perot Museum VP of Science and curator of vertebrate paleontology. “We collected it just hoping there was something inside!”
