My name is Makena Butts, I am 21 years old, and I'm from Cullman Alabama. I started obstacle course racing with the "Warriors for Christ" team as a WARRIOR; and since then I have become a barbarian, a bonefrog, and a savage. I fell in love with Obstacle course racing about half way through our first one. To me, OCR is about pushing myself, being confident, conquering fears, team work, reaching goals, and breaking records. I haven't been racing long, but through OCR I've learned that when you fail at completing an obstacle in life...don't give up! Work harder, get better, and next time conquer that obstacle with confidence! I can't wait to see all that God has in store for the Warriors for Christ, and I'm looking forward to growing our team and spreading God's love across obstacle courses around the world💙🌎💚

My name is Lavaughn Butts and I am 54 years old. My kids, Meagan Stidham and Makena Butts talked me in to running an obstacle race with them this year. I have to admit that I thought it was pretty stupid to pay someone to run! After the first obstacle race I was hooked, tired but hooked. I found that running obstacle races is not only fun but challenging. It's a great way to spend time with your family and friends, and also a way to make new friends. I really don't enjoy failure, but if the challenges were simple and easy then you wouldn't have any reason to push yourself further. I love pushing myself physically to see what am able to achieve. I hope you guys enjoy all of our photos, and maybe we will see you on an obstacle course real soon.

My name is Brian Waye. I am 45 years old and absolutely love obstacle course racing. My wife, Lisa, got me interested in running races a few years back and I continue to push my limits and boundaries each year. I have attempted races and failed to meet certain time crunches yet I persist and will attempt them again and again until I conquer them by pushing my mind, spirit and body to its limit. We recently started running in these obstacle races as a family. We have picked up a couple of great guys our last 2 runs. That got me to thinking that there are probably more people out there that would be interested in running with our group.
