The 2026 FIFA World Cup has started around North America. Dallas is a host city for some of the matches and UTSW is supporting the city in anyway we can. This mural can be seen on the School of Health Professions building for the duration of the games.

Emily Hinton, M.D. was a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern before becoming an Associate Professor in the Medical School.

Thomas Anthony, M.D. was the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery and a Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology. His work at UTSW coincided with heavy involvement in the VA Hospital System.

Construction of Zale Lipshy University Hospital began in 1987 and was completed in 1989. A joint "topping off" and naming ceremony was held at the mid-point of construction in 1988.

Brady L. Allen, M.D. was a UTSW alum who worked with HIV and AIDS patients as a General Internist in Dallas. He connected his patients with clinical trials until proven treatment was made available in 1995.

In addition to the new furniture in the main library space, there are now five new pieces hanging in the exhibit area. Two pieces come from the Paul M. Bass, Jr. Collection and three are from the Alfred Goodman Gilman, M.D., Ph. D. Collection.
