Dear Future Wife,

I don’t know too much about love, but I do know this, if I ask God for wisdom, He will teach me how to love you the right way. He will show me how to create an atmosphere where peace, trust, patience, loyalty, and love can freely flow through me to you and our children.

I may not have all the answers right now, but I promise to keep learning, growing, healing, and becoming the man God designed me to be for our family. I want our home to be a place where you feel safe, valued, heard, protected, appreciated, and deeply loved.

I pray we never become strangers living under the same roof, but partners who continue choosing each other through every season of life.

If you have someone who’s truly about you, don’t fumble them chasing the idea of someone else. A real person who loves you, supports you, prays for you, respects you, and stands beside you through hard times is rare. Too many people lose good relationships because they keep looking for “better,” not realizing loyalty, peace, and genuine love are already in front of them.

One of the worst things you can do to a man who was raised right and taught how to do everything You can do and stand on his own is overlook him, discredit him, or dismiss him the moment he finally opens up and expresses himself.

When a man who’s naturally guarded finally chooses to be vulnerable, that moment should be handled with care, not mocked, ignored, or weaponized against him.

A good man can take hard work, pain, sacrifice, and struggle. But constantly feeling unheard, unappreciated, and emotionally dismissed will slowly make him shut down. After a while, he stops explaining himself, stops expressing emotions, and starts carrying everything alone again and eventually you will never hear from him again.

I’ve missed a lot of games, school events, birthdays, holidays, and quality time with my children, not because I’m a deadbeat, but because of the line of work I do and the responsibility I carry as a man to provide for their wellbeing.

Even when I couldn’t be there physically, I made sure I stayed present in every way I could. I called, video chatted, watched games live, supported them financially, listened to them, and stayed involved through it all.

The truth is, I can’t get back the years or moments I missed. But moments like these remind me that the sacrifice to create a better life for myself and my children was worth it.

Dad is Destiny!!!

What will you sacrifice to get where you need to be?

For years, I didn’t celebrate holidays or birthdays. I stayed locked, missed parties, sacrificed comfort, sleep, and entertainment and time with my family just to get ahead. I worked like a dog year-round to create a future.

Even though I am in a better position I still buy my clothes from Walmart, TJ Maxx, Ross, and Goodwill because I understand the difference between looking rich and becoming financially stable.

Today’s Thought 💭 🧐

Most women say they want their kids’ father to be present, but when he actually there, they do everything in their power to keep him away from the kids. Then somehow, he still gets labeled a deadbeat. Make that make sense.

Every family has that one son who’s a blue collar country boy. His mom loses sleep over him. He has bad knees and a bad back. He cheats death daily and smiles while doing so. I'm that SON!!
