My new sable project herdbuck, Anchor’s Silverado, turned senior just in time for bluebonnet season here in Texas! He’s the buck I posted about last month after he won his class at the Fort Worth Stockshow specialty. High hopes for this busy little dude!

Very solid “tween” girl, looking promising even in the midst of “the uglies.” A lot can change during development, but for most of the lines that I’ve worked with, thick bone, firm muscling, and a wide chest tend to manifest pretty early and (if present) stay constant through development—so I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one! 💪

Young sable point dude I’m pretty excited about. He won his junior buck class at the Ft Worth specialty show last week, so I wanted to give him a belated shoutout. Always love when a color project baby can win on the show tables! 🏅

Work has been consuming lately and I was on call at the hospital all weekend, so the only reason my rabbits survived the 2-day show was because of Q&A Rabbitry. Austin is the hero of the week! Also big thanks to Kristine Jackson Sawyer who snapped this pic and sent it to me so it felt like I was there in spirit even though I missed the actual judging. Congrats also to Kristine on her beautiful doe who took BOSB!
