1:35pm- Our broken line of sub-severe storms continues to head E/SE this afternoon. Lightning, small hail, and gusty winds continue to be the main threats. There is still a risk for a few stronger storms where the cooler, stable air hasn't quite filtered in. Mainly E/SE of the line.
Here's a live look at radar as storms move into North Texas
[12:10pm] A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for portions of Cooke, Denton, and Wise Counties until 12:45pm. This storm is tracking east at 20mph and has the potential to produce 60mph winds and quarter sized hail.

[10:38AM] Heavier bands of rain are continuing along the Red River where flash flooding is becoming an increasing concern. Frequent lightning is also persisting, with over 1,000 strikes recorded in the last 10 minutes.
[9:47am] Radar is beginning to fill in with sub-severe showers and thunderstorms across the northern portions of the Metroplex. Temperatures are falling sharply behind today's cold front - Wichita Falls has already cooled into the 50s!

[9:00AM] Scattered thunderstorms are producing heavy rain, lightning, and isolated pockets of small hail this morning. The cell in Cooke County near Muenster appears to be producing pea sized hail, but is tracking northeast and should cross into Oklahoma shortly. More widespread coverage is expected this afternoon.
[8:30AM] Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue off to the north and west of DFW this morning. This activity is associated with an outflow boundary, while a cold front will initiate activity through the afternoon.

Wednesday is coming in HOT! Clear skies and light south winds are helping to heat temps up near 90° this afternoon. These conditions are also leading to a dip in air quality, ozone levels will be elevated until winds pick up tomorrow afternoon.
