I debated whether to write this post, but I think the situation deserves some attention.
Recently, a woman reached out to me asking for help. According to her, a dog was brought to her along with paperwork for a paid boarding arrangement. She was told that the dog’s expenses would be covered. However, the payments eventually stopped, and the dog was effectively left in her care with no support.
She shared with me the names of the people who were allegedly involved in placing the dog with her. I am not going to publish those names. What surprised me, however, is that these individuals are described as active volunteers associated with Dallas Animal Service and Adoption.
According to the woman, not only did the payments stop, but the people involved also stopped communicating altogether. They stopped responding to questions about the dog’s future, stopped replying to messages, and even ignored warnings that she would have no choice but to return the dog to the shelter if nobody provided guidance or took responsibility for the situation.
The woman does not want to return the dog to the shelter because she is afraid the dog may not make it out alive. She is simply trying to figure out what to do with an animal that has apparently become nobody’s responsibility.
What concerns me even more is that these are some of the same people who frequently speak out about which rescues are “good” and which rescues are “bad.” They openly criticize rescue organizations, question their decisions, and present themselves as advocates for accountability.
So I think it is fair to ask a few questions.
Who is the official foster for this dog?
Who was the dog released to?
Dallas animal service, I would genuinely appreciate clarification regarding this dog’s status and who is responsible for it. Because regardless of personal opinions, politics, or social media drama, the welfare of the animal should come first.
If the information provided to me is accurate, this dog deserves answers, and so does the person who has been left caring for it without support.

This mom and her puppy were posted on Facebook for a very long time in hopes of finding help. Unfortunately, everyone kept passing them by. There are simply too many animals in need and too few people who are able to help.
That is how this little family survived on their own — a mother and her puppy. Covered in sores, constantly itching, and with much of their fur gone. Dogs like these rarely attract attention or inspire people to open their homes to them. It is much easier to fall in love with a healthy, fluffy puppy than with an animal desperately in need of help.
But sometimes miracles do happen.
I would like to thank Yary Animalista for working so hard to find help for this mom and her puppy. And a huge thank you to Seruni, who once again opened her home to animals that had nowhere else to go.
When a foster steps forward, it is very difficult to say no. So we welcomed this little family into our rescue.
Now they need our help more than ever. They will require special medicated shampoos, frequent baths, treatment for mange, medications for secondary skin infections, and ongoing veterinary care.
Thank you to everyone who helps us change lives. Without your support, stories like this would not have a happy ending.

Dallas area — we urgently need fosters or adopters for these puppies.
There were originally 12 puppies. They have been living in a backyard with little to no supervision and are essentially unwanted by the owner. Tragically, half of the litter has already been lost — some have disappeared, some were hit by cars, and others did not survive.
Only six puppies remain as of today. What will happen to them tomorrow, we simply do not know.
We are urgently looking for foster homes or adopters to help save these puppies before more of them are lost.
If you are able to foster, adopt, or help in any way, please let us know as soon as possible.

Please, please help us. We are in desperate need of support right now.
One of our longtime fosters, a woman who has helped save so many lives and cared for so many rescue dogs over the years, was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Tragically, she has no close family to step in. Her neighbors contacted us and asked if we could take her animals from the home. The animals had been alone for several days without air conditioning, food, or water. We just brought them to safety.
We have absolutely no room and no funds available, but we also cannot turn our backs on the animals of someone who spent so much of her life helping ours. No matter how difficult things are, we will never abandon the dogs of the people who stood beside us and helped save lives.
One of the little dogs is in very bad shape. She is having seizure after seizure and has lost control of her bladder. We are rushing her to the emergency hospital in Dallas right now.
We desperately need help. This little girl needs emergency medical care immediately. We do not even know what the final bill will be yet, but as anyone who has been to an emergency clinic knows, payment is required right away.
We are on our way to the hospital now. If you can help in any way, no matter how small, please consider donating toward her emergency care.
Thank you for standing with us when we need it most.

I want to tell you the story of these sisters.
Their deadline has been extended as many times as possible, but there are no more extensions left. They have already been given far more time than most dogs receive.
These beautiful girls are only one year old. They were adopted as tiny puppies, but later ended up back in the shelter in heartbreaking condition. Their entire childhood was spent in neglect. They were not properly fed, they were not cared for, and when they returned, they were painfully thin and looked absolutely miserable.
What amazes me is that despite everything they have been through, despite having so little kindness from people in their lives, they are still incredibly sweet, loving, and gentle dogs. They still trust. They still wag their tails. They still want to be loved.
Every dog deserves a chance, but these girls have barely had a chance to live at all. Their lives have been nothing but hardship—first neglect, then a shelter. And now, if we cannot help them, there may be nothing ahead except euthanasia.
Please help us keep them safe in boarding while we search for adopters or foster homes. Let’s give them a ticket to the happy life they have never had. They deserve to know what it feels like to be loved, cared for, and cherished the way our own pets are every single day.
Any donation, no matter how small, can help give these sisters the future they deserve.

By some miracle, these sisters are still alive. But sadly, that may not be for much longer.
They are about 1 year old and weigh around 55 lbs each. Both girls are friendly, loving, and would make wonderful family companions.
They are currently in a shelter and urgently need a lifeline. Every day could be their last. They have done nothing wrong. They simply found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Transport is available to most northern states.
If you can open your home to both sisters, or even just one of them, please reach out. Their lives depend on someone seeing them before it’s too late.
Please share. For these girls, this is not just another post. It may be their only chance to survive.

Much to our regret, our attempts to save young puppies have put our rescue in a very difficult financial situation.
I have written many times before that we are carrying enormous debt. We do not owe anyone money, and all bills are paid on time, but a staggering amount of debt has accumulated on our credit cards due to our constant efforts to save sick and needy puppies.
Today I want to tell you about two puppies from the same litter.
The first is Whiskey.
Whiskey is now six months old meduim size dog. He eats, plays, runs, sleeps, and lives the full life of a happy puppy. If you saw him from the outside, you would never think he has serious health problems.
But his bloodwork has not improved even once during all this time. He continues to suffer from anemia and many other low blood values. We have repeated tests over and over, tried different medications, and given him everything we could, but there have been no results.
At this point, Whiskey does not require expensive treatment. He needs good food, care, love, and a home—for however much time he may have.
Or perhaps a miracle will happen. Maybe his body will grow stronger and his numbers will begin to improve. Miracles do happen sometimes.
We are looking for someone who does not care how much time this little boy has. Someone who is willing to accept Whiskey exactly as he is, love him, and give him a happy life.
His sister has been a little more fortunate.
She was born with nystagmus—an involuntary movement of the eyes. If you look closely, you can see her pupils moving. It used to be much more pronounced and noticeable. Her condition has improved, but it will never disappear completely.
She was born this way, and she will always be this way.
But she is an absolutely wonderful girl. Kind, affectionate, beautiful, and very loving toward people. She also dreams of finding a family that will accept her exactly as she is.
Please help us find homes for them.
Almost any northern state.
We truly hope there are people who can see beyond their diagnoses and recognize the living souls who deserve love.
We can no longer afford to keep supporting them in rescue for years. And honestly, life in a rescue can never replace a real home.
Please share this post.
Maybe your share will help Whiskey or his sister finally find their family.
