Honoring Long Term Survivors today 💪🏽
June 5 is HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day. First observed in 2014, it’s a day to honor long-term survivors of HIV and raise awareness about their needs, issues, and journeys. June 5, 1981, is considered the start of the AIDS pandemic. For more info, visit https://www.hiv.gov/events/awareness-days/hiv-long-term-survivors-day.
Legacy Cares offers counseling, empowerment, education, substance abuse treatment, supportive housing, and intensive specialized care to help support long-term survivors of HIV and AIDS.
