๐ Same prescription. Same routine. But not necessarily the same coverage.
If youโve taken the same medications for years, itโs easy to assume everything will work exactly the same in 2027.
But Medicare Part D plans can change from year to year.
Your plan may have changes involving:
โ๏ธ The drugs on its formulary
โ๏ธ Preferred pharmacies
โ๏ธ Copays and other prescription costs
โ๏ธ Prior authorization or other coverage requirements
So even when your prescription stays the same, your coverage experience may not.
Thatโs why reviewing your drug coverage before the new year can help you understand what to expect instead of discovering changes at the pharmacy counter.
๐ Clarity before surprises. Thatโs the Splendid approach.
Be honest: do you review your prescription coverage every year?
Comment:
YES / NOT ALWAYS / I NEED HELP

๐ MEDICARE PART D: 2026 vs. 2027
Two numbers are changing โ but they do not mean the same thing.
2026
Deductible: $615
Out-of-pocket threshold: $2,100
2027
Deductible: $700
Out-of-pocket threshold: $2,400
So, whatโs the difference?
๐ The deductible is the amount you may pay for covered Part D drugs before your plan begins sharing certain prescription costs.
๐ The out-of-pocket threshold is the annual spending level used to determine when you move into the catastrophic phase of Part D coverage.
In simple terms:
Deductible = what happens near the beginning of your drug coverage.
Out-of-pocket threshold = a limit reached later after qualifying prescription spending accumulates.
Theyโre connected to the same Part D benefit โ but they serve very different purposes.
Your actual prescription costs can vary based on your plan, medications, pharmacy, coverage rules and eligibility for assistance.
๐ At Splendid Health Insurance, we break Medicare changes down into information you can actually use.
Which 2027 change should we explain next? ๐
A. Drug costs
B. Premiums
C. Insulin
D. Extra Help
๐ Save this comparison for when you review your 2027 coverage.

๐จ A $0 PREMIUM MEDICARE PLAN IN 2027? WHAT YOU NEED TO CHECK BEFORE ENROLLING ๐ฉบโจ
A $0 monthly premium sounds great, but the true cost of a Medicare plan isn't just what you pay each monthโitโs what you pay when you actually use your benefits.
For Medicare 2027, there are 3 key details in your ANOC letter to review before December 7:
1๏ธโฃ Doctor & Hospital Networks: Providers can leave or enter plan networks every year.
2๏ธโฃ Prescription Drug Tiers: Drug formularies and copays shift annually.
3๏ธโฃ Extra Benefits & Copays: Dental, vision, and specialist copays change from plan to plan.
At Splendid Health Insurance, as an independent agency, we compare top plans across carriers to help you find the right fit for your doctors and budget.
๐ฌ Tell us in the comments:
What is your #1 priority for 2027?
๐ด A) Keeping my current doctors in-network.
๐ต B) Lowest copays on prescription drugs.
๐ข C) Great dental & vision coverage.

๐จ MEDICARE PART D: $700 IN 2027
If you take prescription medications, this is a number worth knowing.
For 2027, the deductible for the defined standard Medicare Part D benefit is $700, up from $615 in 2026.
But hereโs the important part:
What does that actually mean for YOUR prescriptions? ๐
Not every plan works the same way. Your:
โ Medications
โ Pharmacy
โ Formulary
โ Drug coverage
โ Specific plan
can all matter when understanding your prescription costs.
Thatโs why simply seeing โ$700โ doesnโt tell you the whole story.
At Splendid Health Insurance, we help you review your medications and Medicare coverage so you can better understand your options before making a decision.
๐ QUICK POLL:
Have you reviewed your Medicare drug coverage for 2027?
A โ YESโ
B โ NOT YET๐
C โ I DONโT KNOW WHERE TO START ๐ค

YOU DONโT NEED TO MEMORIZE MEDICARE.
You just need to know what questions to ask. ๐
Medicare can come with unfamiliar terms, different coverage options, and decisions that may feel overwhelming.
But making a confident decision doesnโt mean becoming a Medicare expert overnight.
It means asking questions like:
โ What are my coverage options?
โ What should I compare before choosing?
โ Are my doctors and prescriptions important when reviewing a plan?
โ What costs should I understand beyond the monthly premium?
Thatโs where the right guidance can make a difference.
At Splendid Health Insurance, we believe you deserve clear explanations, personalized attention, and the opportunity to understand your options before making a decision.
Save this post for when Medicare starts feeling complicated. ๐

๐ฆด JOINT PAIN IS NOT JUST PART OF AGING โ AND YOUR COVERAGE SHOULD REFLECT YOUR HEALTH NEEDS.
Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, and other joint conditions affect millions of Americans โ and treatment costs can add up quickly depending on your coverage and healthcare needs.
What to look for in your health plan when managing a joint condition:
โ
Rheumatologist visits: Confirm that your preferred specialists are in-network
โ
Diagnostic imaging: MRI, X-rays, and other imaging may be covered, but coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan
โ
Physical and occupational therapy: Generally covered when medically necessary; plan requirements may vary
โ
Biologic medications: Drugs such as Humira and Enbrel can be expensive โ check your plan's formulary, coverage rules, and out-of-pocket costs carefully
โ
Joint replacement surgery: Check whether your plan requires prior authorization and what your potential out-of-pocket costs may be
โ
Durable medical equipment: Medicare Part B may cover medically necessary equipment such as walkers and certain braces when eligibility requirements are met
If you're managing a chronic joint condition, your plan choice can have a significant impact on your healthcare costs throughout the year.
Don't choose a plan based on the premium alone. Make sure it fits your doctors, medications, treatments, and healthcare needs.
