Calling on all “Forever Catamounts” (whose blood runs purple), family, friends and fans!!!

Great news: we’re bringing back The Mutt Golf Tournament in honor of our beloved Alphonso “Coach Mutt” DeGraffenreid.

For those of us fortunate enough to have known and loved him, we saw firsthand his unwavering commitment to the success of WCU football and athletics as a whole. One of Coach Mutt’s greatest dreams was to see WCU Football competing for championships once again. Despite setbacks and difficult moments, he never stopped believing or working toward that goal.

That’s why I’m asking all of you to help fulfill his dream. By signing up for The Mutt Golf Tournament, you’re honoring Coach Mutt’s legacy while directly supporting WCU Football through NIL and helping our team pursue a Southern Conference championship and a return to the national stage.
