Kenya Relief
Our Mission=>> To rekindle hope for the next generation in Kenya. What We Do=>> We operate an orphanage, a school, and a medical clinic in southwestern Kenya.
Around 20 times a year, we take short-term mission teams to our campus where they help with education, outreach, and provide medical and surgical care to the community.

In addition to a week of planning meetings and staff training, Team 11 also jumped right into campus life. They spent time with the children doing games and art activities, joined staff on home visits to connect with our community, and helped set up a pop-up shop in the team common room for our staff!
We’re so grateful for the energy and servant-hearted spirit they’ve brought to campus! ☺️
Meet Jacob, KRA’s school captain!
For the past three years, Jacob has been a member of KRA’s Robotics Club, spending countless afternoons learning, building, problem solving, and working alongside his teammates. Recently, as a 9th grader, Jacob represented Kenya Relief Academy at the science fair with an autonomous watering system the team helped create, and we couldn’t have been prouder watching him confidently share their project.
Jacob loves talking about the ways technology can help people in everyday life. One thing he shares is his hope to someday create technology that makes life easier for elderly individuals and people living with physical disabilities. It’s been special watching him connect creativity, problem solving, and compassion at such a young age.
Ifyou ask Jacob what he wants to do someday, he’ll confidently tell you he plans to become a NASA engineer! With the way he’s already learning, creating, and dreaming big, we can’t wait to see where life takes him.
At Kenya Relief Academy, moments like this are such a reminder that every child has unique gifts worth encouraging. We love getting to create spaces where students can explore their interests, grow in confidence, and discover what they’re capable of.
If you’ve been searching for a school community that will genuinely support and invest in your child’s future, we’d love to welcome your family to KRA.

We have been so excited to say karibu sana to Team 11 this week! 🤍
This week been full of leadership trainings, planning meetings, prayer, and lots of behind-the-scenes work as teams prepare for the months ahead at Kenya Relief, and Team 13s arrival in a few weeks!
Dr. Eddie Cargor & Bishop Dr. Wilmose led the first of several organizational leadership trainings this week for HODs and key staff. There have also been meetings with Brase Clinic Staff, KRA leadership, social staff, finance, maintenance teams, and more as everyone works together on mid-year strategic planning & servant leadership development!
The week has also included some very practical acts of care too! Activity day with the children during the national holiday on Monday, and arts and crafts on the agenda for this weekend! Team 11 helped organize donations for older students, including 17 (!) suitcases and several new backpacks! While they have been helping to organize donations & supplies, Melissa found as many hangers as she could at Bansi to help sort & display clothing donations to be given out this week!😊
We’re excited to see all the work Team 11 has been & will be part of over the next few days, and so happy to have them here in Migori with us! 🇰🇪✨

This first edition looks back at January through April and includes updates from BHOG, Brase Clinic, and Kenya Relief Academy, along with a big thank you to the first six medical and volunteer teams who have already served on campus in 2026.
We’re hoping that this monthly newsletter becomes a simple way to stay connected to the people, programs, & work that you make possible at Kenya Relief!

In January, Team 2 joined us in Migori and spent the week serving patients through surgical care, consultations, and everyday moments of support at Brase Clinic. Working alongside our local staff, they helped care for 265 patients and completed 62 procedures during their time on campus!!
We are so grateful for every volunteer who chooses to use their skills to come alongside this community in such a tangible way! 🤍

Happy New Year from KenyaRelief!
As we step into a new year, we’re standing on the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 — that God has plans to prosper us, to give hope, and to shape a future filled with purpose.
We’ve seen His faithfulness in every life touched, every child served, every mission completed. And we believe even greater things are ahead.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’ll continue to live out God’s promises and bring hope to those who need it most.
