👏🏻Incredibly proud of this team and the season they have had! They finished in the semi-final round of the gold bracket and ended this weekend 5-1.

💕We are just beyond thankful for our coach and how she has poured into Allye over the past two years. She tells her the truth, encourages her, and makes sure she is excelling in the fundamentals. EC told the girls that she wanted them to learn how to be good humans, daughters, and teammates this season. Mission accomplished! She planted a lot of seeds in these girls, and I am excited to watch how they grow over the coming years🙏🏻

📚Six Years…Can’t believe it’s been this long since the launch of Anxiety Elephants. Can’t believe these baby birds are now just a couple years away from flying out of the nest…

🐘For those of you who are new here, Anxiety Elephants was a devotional God allowed me the privilege to write after He brought me through a difficult battle with anxiety and depression. At the bottom of that darkness, I felt hopeLESS, useLESS, worthLESS, and purposeLESS. He lifted my head, surrounded me with helpers, reminded me that I wasn’t a failure and that in Him I was FULL…hopeFULL, useFULL, purposeFULL, and FULL of worth.

🐘As I sit in my office this morning reflecting on this beginning step of writing and all the other books I have had the opportunity to write since, it’s hard…I can’t really find the words to wrap all this up with fancy paper and a velvet bow.

🙏🏻This year has been difficult for multiple reasons in my life, and I’m sure for some of you. When you are a words of affirmation person, it can be easy to let the words of a few knock your feet out from under you, uncertain how to navigate in the dust surrounding you.

💕My chiropractor actually reminded me the other day to come back to this first book and reflect on what God has done in my life and to cling to the truth His character never changes…His goodness continues to follow and His steadfast love will never cease. She reminded me that all messes turn into a message surrendered in His hands.

🙏🏻So today, I’m grateful for every person who has bought a book, allowed me to come speak, sent encouraging texts, and prayed for me in secret. I’m grateful God wastes nothing in our lives. I’m forever grateful for those who took a chance on me and believed in me. I’m grateful for my family who loves me.

🙏🏻If you are in a challenging season, take time today to look back and find God’s faithfulness and goodness. Use those core moments as a rope of hope to cling to and trust your Heavenly Father is with you every step of way.

Junior season begins tonight 🏀🙏🏻

Gratitude is a free gift to us all. We can put it to practice every day to shift our focus out of anxiety and into peace.

This skill has been one I put to use daily to stay out of a negative loop.

Gratitude will help reduce stress, increase happiness, and even bring sweeter sleep!

❤️ This season you are in goes by like a blur.

❤️ You blink and are no longer teaching them how to drive the Barbie Jeep that travels the cul de sac at 5 miles per hour…you instead are sitting in the passenger seat pushing a pretend break that offers you zero control.

❤️ You move from discussing spelling tests to the big ACT knowing you’re spot in the passenger seat of their life can’t do anything to control the outcome.

❤️ Your conversations hit a level 10 as you dive into future thoughts, college, dating, and where they see themselves in the next 3-5 years.

❤️ Enjoy this season of waiting and coming and going car line friends, because one day soon, you will enter the passenger mom season. It is a fun season but it is also a season that brings your level of trust in the Lord, deeper. It is a season that brings adventure and a different anxiety 🤪. It is a season that brings in an opportunity to be a friend and mentor as you begin to put wind under their wings to leave your nest and soar.
