I will never forget where I was on September 11, 2001.

I was attending my first semester of college, sitting in a math class. It seemed like a normal day, until our teacher opened the door and spoke to one of the other administrators, and her demeanor changed to unnerved and panicked. Our teacher rolled out one of those old-school TV carts with an outdated television, and we sat together watching in horror.

We were shocked, angry, sad, and confused. At the time, I don’t think any of us could fully comprehend what we were witnessing or how profoundly that day would change our country and our lives.

But as painful as that day was, I will also never forget what came afterward.

For a while, it seemed like the things that divided us didn’t matter. Americans came together. We stood beside strangers. We flew flags. We checked on our neighbors. We supported first responders, military families, and one another. There was a sense of unity, compassion, and patriotism that was impossible to miss.

In the months that followed, I remember witnessing one another proud to be an American—not because we were untouched by tragedy, but because we refused to let tragedy keep us from standing together.

Twenty-five years later, I still remember that classroom, that television, and the feeling of watching history unfold in real time.

I will never forget the lives lost, the families forever changed, or the courage of the people who fought for their lives and the lives of others.

May we always remember. 🇺🇸

✈️ Big news for Allegiant flyers!

Starting August 1, every Allegiant flight will include free inflight beverages (sodas, juice, and water)

Allegiant First is coming. This new premium cabin will feature just 8 seats up front (2x2 configuration) with a 37-inch pitch, 5-inch recline, calf rests, adjustable headrests, and serious legroom. You'll also get priority check-in and boarding, plus a personal item, carry-on, and checked bag (up to 70 lbs) included in the fare.

Seats are expected to go on sale mid-August, with the first Allegiant First flights launching in spring 2027.
