Cullman Area Technology Academy Utility Line Worker Program

Today our students learned how to read pole blueprints and drill holes and put in cross arm notches according to the pole framing blueprints. They did a great job!

Congratulations to our quiz bowl team. They got second in the state skillsUSA competition. Our team consisted of students from Utility Line Worker, cyber security, and welding. They did an outstanding job!!

Our seniors are participating in job shadowing this week with the Cullman Electric Coop. They are enjoying the on the job training! We want to thank the Cullman Electric Coop for the opportunities provided for our Utility Line Worker students here at CATA! They are a great supporter of our program! We also would like to thank the Cullman County School’s career coaches for putting this opportunity together for our students. A big thank you to Sherry Hilliard at the Cullman Electric Coop for making this opportunity happen. It really takes a great community!
