We had a nice surprise this morning..

Not a post we ever wanted to make.. Last night before bed I go out to check the pigs like I do every night. All the pigs was accounted for but one.. After double checking the fence and seeing nothing wrong I was pretty sure she wasn’t out. After searching for about two hours through the woods I finally found her around 1:30am. She was bedded down and having a miscarriage.. This is just another reminder that our plan isn’t always the God’s plan.. Anyone that thinks farming is easy probably hasn’t done to much of it.. It’s an emotional roller coaster that will drive you crazy but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.. I would also like to thank my good buddy Kyle Robertson for answering my 2am phone call this morning..

We picked up our meat from the processor this morning.. Hanging weight was 308lb after everything we had 280lb of packaged meat..

Here’s one of our farm raised pigs.. 10 month old pure Duroc Barrow.. Raised in woods and on 6lb of quality feed a day.. Hanging weight 308lb..

Dropped this guy off for his appointment with the processor today.. If you’re looking for top quality meat pigs. We’ll be have litters starting in September going through October..
