Not the only 10 but 10 good ones.
Hysterical. When we say you can’t make this sh*t up here’s a prime example.
He gave them zero options on this one. I’m quite sure it’s what he wanted to happen.
We’re all very proud of you. The humanity you’ve displayed is worth recognizing. Everyone follow in his footsteps.

It’s not just a pay raise. It’s a new level of responsibility. That responsibility isn’t to be a dick or duck jobs.
One of the worst things in this profession is that the ability to make more base pay money only lies in getting promoted. So you get people that want the money but don’t want the job.
And then you have amazing people who want the job regardless of the money but can’t or won’t play the game to get the promotion.
And we wonder why toxic leadership is the number one complaint in this profession.

It may hurt feelings but these are opinions. This is fact based data collected and put back out as guidance. Nothing is absolute but this is an overall.
If you’re the agency that everyone is leaving because you suck don’t blame me for guiding people on how to leave. Look in the mirror and you won’t have to blame me anymore. Fix your sh*t.
But then again if you cared about anyone but yourself you wouldn’t have to concern yourself with this at all. But you make it clear who matters.
Most of us can’t even begin to understand how you’re able to operate in life without moral guidance. And so those who are like me will go find people to work for a with that operate by a code that guides selflessness.
No place is perfect but some places are a complete disaster. And many of you work for these horrible people.
Big ups to the great bosses out there. Thank you for not falling into the trap and remembering who you are and who you’re supposed to care for. I know it’s difficult at times but believe me these men and women really do appreciate you.

One of the most misunderstood rules in policing is that there is no automatic right to frisk someone just because you’ve lawfully detained them.
The rule comes from the landmark Supreme Court case Terry v. Ohio. Terry allows officers to conduct a limited pat-down for weapons during a lawful detention, but only when the officer can articulate specific facts that lead them to reasonably believe the person is armed and dangerous.
A frisk is not a search for evidence. It is a quick, cursory pat-down of a person’s outer clothing for weapons to ensure officer safety during an encounter.
The problem is that many officers learn by watching other officers. Over time, it can start to feel like every detained person gets frisked. That’s not the law. Courts don’t ask whether the person was detained. They ask whether the officer had a reasonable belief that the person was armed and dangerous.
Factors such as violent criminal activity, bulges consistent with weapons, furtive movements, reaching toward the waistband, credible intelligence, suspicious behavior, gang involvement, time of day, location, and the totality of the circumstances may all be relevant. But the detention itself is not enough.
Would it make officers safer if everyone who was detained could automatically be frisked? Probably. But that’s not the constitutional standard.
If you want to frisk someone and you don’t have sufficient facts to support a Terry frisk, ask for consent. A consensual frisk is a completely different legal justification and may prevent evidence from being suppressed later because you could not articulate why you believed the person was armed and dangerous.
Know the difference. Understand the rule. Articulate your facts. Terry v. Ohio remains one of the bedrock cases every law enforcement officer should know.

Wanna fix the leadership problem that plagues this industry?
How bout we start with a little more self awareness and a little less delusion.
Imagine if there were repercussions for bad performance as a boss?
I wonder if bosses would care more if there were actually standards that they had to answer to?
You can be mad at this all you want. Tells me exactly who you are if this made you angry.
If you’re clapping as a boss I also know exactly who you are.
Your greatest leaders in this profession are the ones who can’t stand your bad bosses just as much as you. Believe me I’ve been studying this game for almost 25 years.

So the way for us to select top level leaders in this profession is by seeing how much information they can retain and regurgitate onto a multiple choice quiz. Got it.
Why would they change the system if the system serves certain individuals so well?
