🤖 Robot Rumble Day at Crestview Robotics! 🛠️

Today was all about the clash of the bots! Our very own Special Forces BallistaBOTS gathered for an epic showdown reminiscent of BATTLEBOTS. 🏆

After a grueling 4-week build challenge, teams engineered their robots to meet strict specs: starting size of 12x12x12 inches, max weight of 50 lbs, and a modest budget of just $20—and robot may not shoot fire or cut. The creativity was off the charts!

Seven teams, limited parts, but unlimited spirit! They brought their A-game to a fierce double-elimination battle, with our mentors emerging as champions. 🥇

It's been an incredible season, and although we bid farewell to 8 talented seniors, the future is bright. We're on the lookout for fresh talent to join the Crestview Robotics legacy. Got what it takes? Let's build, compete, and create! 💪

Yesterday was the Aerocoast FTC League regional championship at Doolittle Institute STEM Outreach . I was unable to make it due to flu/covid symptoms. All 4 teams did great and brought home hardware and one team, Evium99 - FTC earned an invite to the Florida Championship in March. In FIRST it is all about the students, the team, doing the work under guidance of mentors. There is only one individual award. This is called the "Dean's List Award", given to those who put in the work, leadership and applies the ethos of FIRST. This year we have 2 students trying to win the this award. Thomas Chambliss and Alexander Doyle. Great job to all for representing Crestview Robotics and your team. Thanks to all the coaches and mentors for your help this season. Thanks to all the parents to allow them to hang out with all of us to build robots and for us to build your students. It's been an honor. To my seniors this year Christy, Gabby, Liam, Tiana, Alex, Adam, Sledge, Ferguson you all will be missed.

Join Crestview Robotics for a LEGO Spike Prime Robotics class! 🙌

Your child in grades 3rd -5th will learn how to build and program robots using LEGO bricks, motors, sensors, and a smart hub. They will also develop skills in creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. 🧠

The class will run from Monday thru Friday, 9 am to 12 pm. The cost is $150 per child, there are only 24 seats available. Each pair of students will share one robot kit. 🤝

👩‍🎨 Do you want your MIDDLE SCHOOL child to learn how to design and print their own 3D models? 👨‍🎨

Enroll them in our 3D CAD and Print class with Onshape! 🙌

Onshape is a cloud-based platform that allows users to create, edit, and share 3D models using a web browser. It is easy to use, powerful, and fun. 🌐

In this class, your child will learn the basics of 3D modeling, such as sketching, extruding, filleting, and assembling. They will also learn how to export their models to a 3D printer and bring them to life. 🖨️

The class will run from Monday to Thursday, 1 pm to 4 pm. The cost is $125 per child, and there are only 24 seats available. Each child will have access to a laptop and an Onshape account. 💻

Today is we are asking that friends, friends of friends, family members, Co-workers, past Robotics students (alumni) on any of Mr. T's teams or anyone wanting to give on this day to consider giving to campaign. We are hoping to collect 2010 $20 donations throughout the day. The number was chosen because that is when Mr. T started this journey.
