This property has been vacant for 20-plus years. Lake front property with numerous live oaks. Owner could not drive or walk the property due to overgrowth. Mulching has opened the area up. Now, the owner can access and use the property. The owner was very pleased with the results.

I was contacted by a realtor in Daphne, Alabama, to bush hog this property in Crestview. A subdivision is going in on 37 acres. 99 homes on 37 acres. Currently, the roads are in, and some of the utilities are in place. Construction hasn't started on any homes yet. This was a first..cutting vegetation that is about to be built on. Looks better now than before. It's satisfying to see the "after" results when my work is completed on a job.

Florida Pine Snake (non-venomous) encountered on a recent job. I've only seen two in the wild, including this one. Appeared to be a female about 4.5' long. Very calm, and no hissing. Never tried to bite. I saw her about 20' in front of the tractor. Relocated her to the back of the property. She wouldn't stay still for a picture, so I was holding her with one hand and taking pictures with the other. Fun times!

This old pecan tree was dead and a falling hazard. Time for it to come down. It likely succumbed to vines that choked the life out of it. The pictures here depict several stages of putting it on the ground. The first couple of pictures show the brush, vines, and vegetation growing around it. I used the mulcher to clean around the base. The mulcher found a T post in the vegetation. Uhhh! Luckily, there was no damage to the mulcher. I had two chainsaws I was using. One for putting it on the ground and the other for limbing. The bigger saw quit on me 1/4 of the way through the trunk. I had to finish with my smaller saw, which was underpowered for the task, and had an 18" bar. I still put it on the ground safely and where I wanted it to land. Mulched the crown of the tree and cut up the rest with the chainsaw. Hauled off the larger portions that were not mulched. After all debris was removed, I mulched the area to dress it up. I do limited tree removal. I won't touch anything that could damage nearby structures.

Before and after at the Beaver Creek Property.

My friends at the Beaver Creek property. It's calming to look up from my work and see them grazing off in the distance. They now greet me in the mornings when I arrive.

20 acres bush hogged in the Beaver Creek area. 3 horses call this acreage home. Old pecan grove. Approximately 11 pecan trees were dead and on the ground for years, with weeds and brush growing around the partially rotten trees. Mulched some of the trees, and others were hauled to a pile. Property looks much better now. Owners are pleased with the results. I'll be posting more on this job in the coming days.

Small job for a customer who needed the vegetation tackled. The mulcher found an old car tire covered in vines. Tire lost that battle. The dust was something else! We sure could use some rain.

Finished discing the field on the Florida / Alabama line. 4 passes with the disc. Three passes with an approximately 700lb chunk of concrete added for extra weight. 4th pass, the extra weight was removed. The drone pictures were taken after 2 passes. The two ground pictures were taken after 4 passes. Kicked up a lot of dust on this job. The owner will be planting the field as a food plot.
Today, I crossed the Florida / Alabama state line approximately 60+ times. (No joke). What was I doing today??? 🤔
