Thanks to the generosity of cooperative employees, raffle prize sponsors and participants who donated their prize winnings, the 2026 Reeling for Recovery Fishing Tournament raised $11,700 for the Burn Foundation of America.

Each year, this event brings together employees, family and friends from cooperatives throughout Georgia for a day on the water while helping make a difference in the lives of burn survivors and their families. The funds raised will go directly to the Burn Foundation of America to support its mission and programs.

Snapping Shoals EMC retirees recently gathered at Burge Club to catch up and reminisce about their time at our co-op. Known as “Ambassadors,” our retirees still serve our community and are always happy to share their knowledge about SSEMC.
