Day 2 of LEGO Explore Robotics: UNEARTHED focused on innovation.
Students started with a teamwork challenge where they each drew an idea, then worked together to combine everyone’s ideas into something new. This helped introduce our Core Value of Innovation: using creativity and persistence to solve problems.
They also learned about innovative technology in archaeology, built and coded a carousel model, and transformed it into a drone to search for artifacts.

Day 1 of LEGO Explore Robotics: UNEARTHED is in the books.
Students jumped into archaeology, artifacts, team names, and Core Values. They worked together to rescue artifacts, shared ideas, listened to teammates, and practiced one of our favorite teamwork lessons: you can add to someone’s idea, but you cannot erase it.
And yes, the spinner battles have begun.
It was a great first day of building, problem-solving, and learning how to work as a team. We cannot wait to see what they unearth this week.
Thank you so much to everyone who entered the Space Ninjas raffle and supported our team!
We weren’t able to go live for the drawing yesterday, but we recorded it so everyone could see the winners being chosen.
Your donations are helping the Space Ninjas travel to the American Robotics Invitational in New Jersey next weekend, where they will be representing Louisiana. We are so grateful for your encouragement and support.
Congratulations to our raffle winners:
Grand Prize — Free Week of Summer Camp: Rebecca Landry
LEGO Space Astronaut: Laura Ansel
LEGO Ninjago Spinjitzu Battle Pack: Nicky Pierre
Thank you again to everyone who donated! We appreciate you!

Two weeks until competition!
In exactly two weeks, Space Ninjas will be competing at the American Robotics Invitational in New Jersey.
Thanks to generous donations, the team has raised $1,270 through their miles campaign, which means they have officially “made it” to the competition. We are so grateful to everyone who helped move them all the way from Louisiana to New Jersey, one mile at a time.
The miles goal was a huge milestone, and we’re continuing to raise funds to help with travel, meals, and competition-related expenses.
