Our South Carolina American Legion Convention for both the Legion and the Riders was today. There was a lot accomplished and a lot of awards were handed out but the most prestigious one is Rider of the Year and Bob was the recipient. He has contributed so much to our Post and our Riders over the last few years. Congrats hon...you deserve it! ❤️❤️❤️
It was a productive Riders meeting electing a new Director and Assistant Director among other business.

Our semi annual Jamin Leather fundraiser was today. It was a huge success. A special thanks to our friends from Murrell's Inlet and Little River Legion Riders. There were around 50 bikes that participated. The weather was comfortable and sunny. Jay Sisco and Bob Silverman each led a group to the restaurants. The auction was fun with great deals. The 50/50 was won by Jay Sisco and he donated it back. Thanks Jay. There were many door prizes and raffle prizes. All seemed to enjoy the day. Thanks to all who worked the event. Cora Rhodes-Pucci, Joe Pucci, Michael Burns, Kristin Keyes Burns, David Curtis, Sheri LaCombe Curtis, Jay Sautier, Dan Barnette, Janine Barnette, Terry Miller. The main coordinator was Terry who did a great job. Thanks to ALL who attended and thanks to Jamie Keats, owner of Jamin Leather who allows us to do this and contributes much to our success.

Our Conway Riders had the honor today of joining up with the North Coastal PGR in bringing home (for burial) the remains of a sailor killed on D-Day, in Normandy France, 82 years ago. 5 of our Conway Legion Riders, 1 Legion non Rider member and 2 PGR Riders rode from Conway up to Chadbourne, NC for the ceremony. There was a large Rider turnout as well as family and friends. William Robert Burns, age 25 was killed on June 8, 1944. PGR stood in a flag line for the ceremony. A respectful and dignified day to give this sailor his finally resting place.
