Congratulations to our Couple.

I normally don’t feel the need to address everything that is said or discussed. Still, something was recently brought to my attention that I feel is important to clarify not only for my current brides, but also for every future bride who chooses to trust Committed Connections with one of the most important days of her life.
It has come to my attention that some information is being shared suggesting that I charge my unit brides for their wedding or bridal pictures.
I want to make this absolutely clear:

I DO NOT CHARGE MY UNIT BRIDES FOR THEIR WEDDING PHOTOS.

The photographs I take on your wedding day are not a paid photography service; they are not an additional charge, and they are not added to your wedding price.

They are my gift to my brides.

Anyone who has worked with me knows that Committed Connections has always been about so much more than showing up, performing a ceremony, signing paperwork, and leaving.
These weddings mean something to me.
I understand that a TDCJ wedding is very different from a traditional wedding. My unit brides don't always get the opportunity to have a professional photographer standing nearby. You may not get hundreds of photographs, elaborate decorations, a traditional reception, or all of the little extras that normally come with a wedding day.
Sometimes, the few pictures we can capture become some of the most precious keepsakes from that entire day.
That is exactly why I take them.
When circumstances allow me to take pictures, I want my brides to have something they can look back on years from now and remember the day they finally got to say “I do.”
I want you to have the picture of that smile.
The happiness on your faces after being pronounced married.
And when the opportunity allows, those special moments with family that make the day even more meaningful.
Those memories are priceless to me, and I have never wanted my brides to feel like they have to purchase them from me.
I am an officiant, not a professional wedding photographer. Taking your pictures is simply one of the extra things I choose to do from my heart.
There is no photography package.
There is no price per picture.
There is no fee to receive your pictures from me.
There is no hidden photography charge.
If I can capture those moments for you, those pictures are my gift to you. Period. ❤️
I have always tried to make the experience with Committed Connections personal. I guide my couples through a process that can sometimes feel confusing, stressful, and overwhelming. I answer questions, help navigate the paperwork and unit process, communicate throughout the journey, personalize ceremonies, and do everything I reasonably can to make the actual wedding day feel special.
The little extras I provide are intentional.
They are part of the heart behind Committed Connections.
My brides are not just another appointment on my calendar, and their weddings are not simply another transaction. Every couple has a story. Every couple has overcome something to get to that moment. And every bride deserves to feel like a BRIDE, regardless of where her wedding ceremony takes place.
I will always do my best to give my couples the experience and memories they deserve while respecting all unit policies and procedures.
I also want to say this respectfully: if you ever hear something about Committed Connections, our services, our pricing, or what is or isn't included, please feel completely comfortable coming directly to me and asking.
I prefer to speak with you and provide accurate information, so no bride makes a decision based on a misunderstanding or information that didn't come directly from me.
Transparency has always been extremely important to me.
So, for anyone who may have heard otherwise, I hope this clears up any confusion:
I charge for my professional officiant services and the services outlined in your agreement.
📸 The wedding photographs I personally take for my unit brides are complimentary gifts from me.
🎁 They are not sold to my brides.
❤️ They are memories I am honored to help you keep.
And as long as I am permitted to take those pictures, I will continue doing it not because I have to, not because it's another service I can charge for, but because I genuinely love seeing my brides have something beautiful to hold onto from their wedding day.
To every bride who has trusted me with her journey, thank you. Thank you for allowing me into such a personal chapter of your life. Thank you for trusting me to stand beside you on such an important day. And thank you for allowing me the privilege of capturing a few of those memories along the way.

My heart is so full.

I am incredibly grateful to this beautiful family for allowing me to be a part of such special and beautiful moment. It was truly an honor to share in the love, laughter, and memories and I especially enjoyed getting to jump in and take pictures with the family!

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. I may come into your lives as your wedding officiant, but being welcomed and treated like part of the family means more to me than I can put into words.
