Rockin Camel Ranch Rabbitry

We have had a wonderful time at the Montgomery County Fair. Zorina placed 9th with her meat pen. And Pazia and Solana placed 9th and 10th with there breeding bucks. We have been truly blessed with our success with our Rabbits.

We had a good time at Thumping in the Pines. I was very surprised and thrilled with our results.

3rd and 4th place New Zealand Junior Doe

The real shocker was placing 1st with our Intermediate Californian Buck. He then took Best Opposite of Breed. The icing on the cake was taking Best of all Opposites in Class 6. How exciting for a Home Grown Buck.

We also had a 3rd place Junior Californian Buck and had some recognition for our Californian Junior Does - meaning they survived the first cull of Junior Does.

Overall it was good to see everyone and get caught up.

3 rabbit judging teams, 7 meatpens and 24 breeder rabbits over the past 5 days at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We are tired but thrilled about how we did. Way to go Team Muehr!

We had a very pleasant surprise at Buckle Bash today. Our Jr. Black New Zealand Buck took Best of Breed.

This single and its mom makes me smile. It's been super cold (for Texas) and I like to think that this mom is keeping her baby warm since it doesn't have siblings to snuggle.

Say hi to Buddy. He is a REW (ruby eye white) Britannia Petite. They pose differently than our other rabbit breeds. Something new to learn. Will be asking lots of questions and watching lots of online videos. Lol

Welcome to the Rockin Camel Rabbitry. Why Rockin Camel you may ask? Well my mother-in-law required a Bride Price of 13 Cows and 3 Purple Camels. Well being a cattle rancher the 13 cows was easy. But 3 Purple Camels, well that required some out of the box thinking. I carved camels out of wood, made some out of clay, out of wire coat hangers, and anything else I could think of. I picked out the ones I really liked and went and asked if I could marry their daughter. They really liked the camels and the rest is history still being made.
