Bourbon Bit Ranch

I would like to congratulate the new owners of BBR Waalk the Line “Jenny.” I had the opportunity to send her out on a six month lease the end of fall last year with my intentions to bring her home this spring to breed and decide on next steps. I didn’t have the time for her at the time and really didn’t want her sit in the pasture not being utilized. Well little did I know at the time that she would find her passion in endurance racing and a home that could support it. I will always advocate for my horses to find what they love to do and not push them into a specific discipline just because I bred them with that intention. At the end of the day I want to breed confirmationally correct and sound horses for long term riding careers.

Jenny has successfully completed three 50mi endurance races and winning her last one! They are now targeting 75mi races with her. Can’t wait to follow her career. You will see a couple photos below from her races.

Wilma Update!

It has been a bit since I have gotten to really spend some time with Wilma and see her progress in-person. She is coming along so nicely under Fred’s training program. Richard and I can’t thank him and his entire team enough for everything they do for Wilma.
Looking forward to kicking off her 3yr old year and see where the journey takes us with her. No matter what, we believe we have the sweetest filly in the barn!
