Even though Texas has constitutional carry, having your LTC still comes with some great benefits, including reciprocity with many other states and additional legal protections.
We’ll walk you through Texas carry laws in a way that is simple and easy to understand. The required shooting qualification is very basic and focuses mostly on safe gun handling. Many first-time shooters pass without any trouble, so don’t let that part intimidate you.
If you’re not completely comfortable with your handgun yet, we also offer Basic Handgun classes and private lessons to help you get ready.

Ready to pressure-test your defensive handgun skills?
This one-day course with Citizen Defense at BTO Range and Training Center is built for concealed carriers and experienced shooters who want to improve speed, accuracy, and performance on demand.
Students will work through structured drills covering draw efficiency, visual processing, reloads, malfunctions, movement, and distance shooting. You will also have the opportunity to measure your performance against the Citizen Defense Standards.
This is not a beginner class. A safe working knowledge of drawing and firing from a holster is required.
