When you get to photograph a wedding in your very favorite place with an AMAZING couple? That is something special!

What a warm and joyful couple I got to photograph on Saturday. I love the enthusiasm they brought. From her walking down the aisle with her father to their choreographed first dance. These two brought it! They showed a lot of gratitude. What a great day!

Last evening was fun! This high school senior has a passion for cars! So we got a ‘66 Ford Mustang to be a part of the session! Final product and behind the scenes (shot by my ten year old daughter- thanks Hannah!).

Aside from hanging out with my family and the importance of my faith, I can’t think of any place I would rather be in the world than out with my camera like last evening shooting this senior session. Photography and baseball together? Magic! Thank you Jerry for being an amazing subject to shoot!

Engagement sessions are FUN! So grateful this wonderful couple hired me to photograph their wedding this next summer. We had a LOT of fun today with this session!

Last evening I photographed my final wedding of 2023. Instead of it being HOT like so many weddings, this one was cool to cold. A great change! A new venue for me as well. Extra bonus for knowing several of the guests and the couple being so open to my guidance.

The stark differences between being in the bridal room and the grooms room always cracks me up. This wedding was no exception! Hair, makeup, champagne and (sometimes) calmness. Sometimes tears and often a lot of laughter. Then I go over to the grooms room. In this case, shots of whiskey, (Louder) music, goofiness and just more laid back. But BOTH are so much fun! I am the only person that gets to enjoy being with both groups and I love that!

When an unexpected light rain occurs it can make for the most amazing effect!

This weekend I shot two weddings. One local on Saturday. I got home at 10:45 p.m. Saturday night and was back out the door yesterday morning by 9:30 to take the 2+ hour drive to beautiful Nevada City. The wedding and couple was worth it! They were so laid back and efficient. It allowed a LOT of extra time for portraits! Hydration is key in preparing to shoot weddings and for stamina.

Arguably my favorite setting of any wedding I have ever photographed. A bit windy and cold. But hey, the pictures last a lifetime. The feeling of being freezing goes away within minutes. You did good ForestHill!
