Join us for a special Halloween celebration at the library!

Concord’s Vice Mayor will lead a festive storytime at 10:30 a.m., sharing spooky (but not too scary!) tales perfect for kids of all ages. After storytime, kids are invited to show off their creativity and costumes in a parade around the City Offices.

Don’t forget your costume!

The Library Wellness Team offers a guided meditation to relax and re-center the mind, body, and spirit. Meditation will be guided in English at 1pm and will be guided in Spanish at 2pm. Offered every first and third Monday of the month.

One costume per person present. No appointment necessary, just drop on by.

Join us at Concord Library for stories, songs, and playful fun in Mandarin. This Storytime will introduce your little ones to the beauty of the Mandarin language through story, play and song. We hope to see you there!

No registration necessary. All ages and abilities welcome.

Learn the parts of Medicare, what Medicare covers, and how and when to enroll. The class will also cover choosing your Medicare coverage path, supplemental coverage options, and selecting a prescription drug plan.

Pre-register today for our Hallow-Read challenge, running from October 1st through October 31st.

Halloween is a time brimming with excitement, magic, and mischief! Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth, indulge in some festive fun, and curl up with a hair-raising tale.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Log your reading and earn our hauntingly cool badges. Visit the library once you complete the challenge by reading at least 180 minutes for a Hallow-Read themed pin, while supplies last.

Display your completion badge at your local library for a special treat: a unique ghost pin (while supplies last).

For reading recommendations for all ages, check out the library's Hallow-Read 2026 book list for some spooky reads.

Come by this Thursday!

Children can build reading confidence during a 15-minute individual session with a gentle therapy dog from Joybound. Readers may bring a book from home or select one at the library and enjoy reading aloud in a relaxed, encouraging environment.

Join us for BYOC Movie Night at the Concord Library.

Bring a camping chair, or a bean bag, or a blanket, or a pillow, or whatever you'd like to sit on during the show! We will be watching the 2010 teen romantic comedy Easy A (PG-13) and will be providing popcorn. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages.
