Please welcome to the 008 Training Family as an Associate Instructor, Nina Najafizadeh‼️ Nina has been with 008 as a player/student since 2018 and now it comes full circle with her becoming an instructor ❤️
She will be giving private lessons in hitting and catching. Nina will begin lessons starting Saturday September 6th!
A little bit about Nina:
“I’ve been dedicated to softball for most of my life, spending four years on varsity at College Park and competing in high-level travel ball for a decade. After facing multiple injuries that forced me to step away, my love for the game brought me back, and I’m now continuing my journey at Consumnes River College in Sacramento, where I couldn’t be happier. Beyond playing, I have a passion for coaching and working with younger athletes, because it reminds me of why I started and how this sport has the power to change lives.”

A little intro from Kai herself:
“Hey everyone! My name is Kailani Tatro, but everyone calls me Kai. I’m both a pitcher and a hitter but will primarily be giving pitching lessons. I’ve been playing Division 1 softball for the last two years in Pennsylvania at Robert Morris University and am currently in the transfer portal looking to continue my athletic and academic journey somewhere closer to home in California. I’ve had the opportunity to work with young athletes through both pitching and hitting lessons before and I’m excited to do it again! I have a real passion for teaching the game I love and passing on my knowledge to the next generation of athletes. I’ve been pitching since I was 6 years old and have a lot that I can teach and pass along all the way from mechanics to confidence. I look forward to working with you and helping you get better everyday!”
Kai is the perfect addition to the team 💗

We are excited to have Debbie joining the 008 Training family for pitching lessons. Debbie will begin lessons starting on Tuesday May 13th. Her availability is listed above on the flyer. If you are interested in booking with Debbie, head to www.008training.com 🩷
A little bit about Debbie:
“I started playing softball at the age of 8 and instantly fell in love with the game. I grew up playing for San Jose PAL Quicksilver and joined my first travel ball team with the 12U Sting. I loved playing all positions—catcher, infield, and pitcher—but after that first season of travel ball, I knew pitching was the position I wanted to pursue. I began taking pitching lessons and focusing on mastering the craft. I was a four-year varsity player at Oak Grove High School before continuing my softball journey at San Jose City College, where I was the starting pitcher for two years. During my time there, I earned Pitcher of the Year honors and helped lead our team to back-to-back South Coast Conference Championships. I then transferred on a scholarship to Cal State Northridge (CSUN) to play for the Matadors, where I earned Honorable Mention All-Big West Conference honors.
Coaching-
Following my graduation from CSUN, I became a pitching assistant at San Jose City College, where I guided the development of pitchers by focusing on fundamentals and consistency. In addition to my role at the college, I provided private pitching lessons to individuals aged 8 and up, tailoring instruction to meet each student’s needs. Throughout my collegiate years, I also assisted with organizing and running softball camps and clinics, emphasizing skill development and team-building exercises.
My coaching philosophy centers around the belief that strong fundamentals are the foundation of a successful pitcher. I emphasize the development of solid pitching mechanics to enhance performance and build confidence on the mound. My goal is to support each pitcher in reaching their full potential—both on and off the field. I’m excited to work with you and help you take your game to the next level.”
We are very excited to have Debbie on board!

Please welcome to the 008 Training family, Catalina Buenrostro‼️
We are excited to have Catalina joining the 008 Training family for catching lessons. Catalina will begin lessons starting on Saturday, March 8th. Her availability will is listed above on the flyer. If you are interested in booking with Catalina, you can book directly on the website at www.008training.com.
A little bit about Catalina:
“My name is Catalina Buenrostro, and I’m very excited to be a part of the 008 community. As a 3-sport athlete in high school, I understand how valuable those moments on and off the field with teammates and coaches are. Softball has always been and will remain an outlet for me in life. I was given the opportunity to travel across the country to compete at the DII level in Vienna, West Virginia. This experience was able to teach me that hard work is the key to reaching all your dreams.
My passion for softball runs deep, having spent countless years both playing and learning the game. Throughout my playing career, I not only honed my technical skills but also developed an immense appreciation for teamwork, leadership, and resilience. These values are what I want to pass on to my players. Coaching is my way of giving back to the sport that has shaped so much of who I am today.
I believe in fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment where athletes are not only pushed to reach their full potential on the field, but also grow as individuals off the field. I want to help players build confidence, develop strong work ethics, and most importantly, enjoy the game. Every practice is an opportunity to learn, whether it’s improving a skill, understanding the game better, or building character as part of a team.
I aim to create a supportive atmosphere where players feel encouraged to challenge themselves, learn from mistakes, and celebrate their progress. For me, coaching is not just about winning, but about inspiring the next generation of athletes to love the game as much as I do.”
xoxo
