As Iron Mountain’s first-ever Circular Economy Project Manager, Erin Gately works to create ways for Iron Mountain’s teams and clients to turn “waste” into new resources.

“The goal of the circular economy is to utilize materials at their highest value as long as possible,” says Erin. "A circular economy is when you can find a way to create a circular loop at any point within the life cycle of the product by reusing, refurbishing, or repairing them, so that nothing goes to waste.”

Everyone Plays A Role: Gamze's Story

Gamze Ergün is a commercial director for Iron Mountain in Istanbul, Turkey. As a member of the Women at Iron Mountain ERG, she works to raise awareness around issues such as income inequality and representation for women in the workforce. As a mother of two, she wants to build a future that is built on equality and harmony for future generations.

“I have worked in male-dominated sectors both during my education and my internship periods,” Gamze says. “I was exposed to questions like, ‘Can she do it? Will she give up?’ I think that when a woman believes she can do it, she can really achieve anything.”

Meet Gary Binns, a debriefer and driver trainer at the Cody Transport Hub in East London. As the only Manchester United football fans on his team, he knows that it’s only through a collective effort that they can make a difference. Earlier this year, we launched the “Fleet of the Future,” an initial program of Electric Vehicles for use in and around London. This is important because air pollution is an issue for all the communities we serve. Gary takes a sense of pride in playing his part.

At Iron Mountain, Augusta is a Project Supervisor based in São Paulo, Brazil who is involved in the Black Colleagues at Iron Mountain in LATAM focused around diversity, equity, and inclusion. This is important because racial prejudice and discrimination is an issue across Brazil. Augusta believes her work within her sphere of influence can help bring about a positive change.
