If you can imagine this…… Me, Jay Buchanan, Michael Miley, and Greg Coates, sitting in a room in Long Beach, with our heads down, instruments in hand, at Karma studio with Michael Rich behind the glass, you would know where it all began and how incredible it was to be in the same room with those guys. Close your eyes and listen to us play and you’ll be right there, cause the whole album was recorded live(with maybe a couple overdubs) Jay Buchanan was unreal on the slide and just having his presence there helped make the magic. Greg Coates played the entire album on his upright bass which blew me out of the water Michael Miley showed his vulnerability and literally melted into his drums.
