☀️🐯 What a way to wrap up the 2025-2026 school year!

On the last day of school, our entire staff came together for the annual 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐧𝐢𝐜, and it was the perfect celebration of a year well spent. 🧡

🌭 Our maintenance department grilled burgers and hot dogs
🎉 We honored our retiring staff members
🏅 Service award recipients received pins and checks
⭐ STAR Award winners were announced
📚 ESL certifications were celebrated
🏆 The District Teachers of the Year were announced
💰 The Commerce Schools Educational Enrichment Foundation funded an incredible $44,574.31 in classroom grants

From celebrating accomplishments to investing in the future, it was a great reminder of what makes Commerce ISD special: 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞.

🍎☀️ Commerce ISD is proud to once again provide FREE summer meals for children and teens in our community! 🐯

From June 1–26, all children and teens 18 years old and younger can receive free breakfast and lunch meals at designated CISD campuses. Enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21 also qualify.

Good nutrition helps students continue growing, learning, and thriving all summer long, and we are thankful to continue serving our Tiger community beyond the school year. 🧡

Join us for 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐬 on Thursday, June 11, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Commerce Middle School. Families will have the chance to meet our principals, ask questions, and learn more during breakout sessions.

These two outstanding educators have worked tirelessly to inspire, teach, and support our Tigers. Now, they’ll be representing us at the Region 10 Teacher of the Year competition this summer! 🏆✨

🎓🐯 Practice makes perfect, and our seniors are ready for the big night!

Graduation for the Class of 2026 is tonight at the ETAMU Fieldhouse beginning at 8:00 PM. 🧡

Families and guests, please review these important reminders before arriving:

🎟️ No tickets are required. Seating is open and first come, first served. Any items left to save seats will be moved.
🚫 No signs, balloons, gifts, or artificial noisemakers allowed.
👜 Clear bags only. Diaper and medical bags are permitted but subject to search.
🚪 Only the southeast doors will be open for entry.
⏰ Please be seated by 8:00 PM. The processional will begin promptly.
📸 Guests may not approach the stage for photos.
👮 CISD Police Department and a K9 officer will be present to help ensure a safe and smooth event for all attendees.

📣🐯 Help us welcome the newest member of Tiny Tiger Nation, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬, as the new 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 at 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥! 🧡

Mr. Mathis will begin his 15th year in education this fall and brings a wide range of experience serving students and families as a teacher, coach, youth pastor, pastor, and administrator. Most recently, he served as Assistant Principal at North Hopkins ISD.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas Baptist University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Mr. Mathis is passionate about building strong relationships with students, staff, and families while fostering a positive school culture grounded in trust, servant leadership, and connection. One quote that guides his leadership is:
