Join us on Friday, September 25 at 7:10 p.m. as we proudly dedicate the football field at Tiger Stadium in honor of former Commerce ISD Superintendent Blake Cooper.

Football was a lifelong passion for Mr. Cooper. He played at East Texas State University and later coached high school football before eventually making his way to Commerce ISD, where his leadership left a lasting mark on our district.

The dedication will take place at the north end of Tiger Stadium near the flags. Mr. Cooper's family will join us to share a few words and unveil the plaque that will permanently honor his legacy.

We are proud that generations of Tigers will take the field on Friday nights and see the name of a man who gave so much to Commerce ISD. 🧡🖤

Business Office Appreciation Day? Around here, that's EVERY day! 💰🐅🧡

From balancing the budget and making sure our staff gets paid to keeping our vendors taken care of on time, our Business Office team keeps a whole lot of plates spinning behind the scenes. And that's only the beginning of what they do!

They may work with numbers all day, but we can't put a number on how much we appreciate them. 🧡🖤

It's Education Technology Day in Commerce ISD!

From phone lines and servers to internet filters, Chromebooks, digital curriculum tools, and SO much more, technology keeps nearly every part of our district running.

Their goal? Keep everything working so smoothly that you barely know they're there. Because when technology goes down... EVERYBODY knows. 😳😂

Commerce High School is looking for not one, but 𝐓𝐖𝐎 compassionate Special Education Aides to join our Tiger family. 🐯

You'll work alongside our special education teachers to support learning, assist with daily needs and mobility, monitor progress, and help create a classroom where every student feels safe, included, valued, and loved.

We're looking for someone with patience, a servant's heart, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

🧡 A name that will forever be part of Commerce ISD.

The Commerce ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved renaming our Central Administration Building the Alvis Alderman Administration Building, honoring a man whose influence reached generations of Tigers.

Superintendent Steve Drummond called the moment "near and dear to our hearts," while Board Vice President Dr. LaVelle Hendricks compared Mr. Alderman's legacy to ripples moving across the water, continuing to reach and influence others long after they begin.

Mr. Alderman dedicated his life to serving as a Teacher and Assistant Principal of Commerce High School, but his impact stretched far beyond a job title or the walls of a school.

His wife, Marcia, and sons, Jimmy and Charlie, joined us as the Board made the name official. 🧡🖤

The Alvis Alderman Administration Building will stand as a lasting reminder of a life spent serving others and a legacy that continues through the countless Tigers he influenced.

And around here, we think "Triple A" has a pretty nice ring to it. 🐯

💃 ¡CELEBREMOS! 🧡🖤

This month, we're celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to recognize the rich histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic Americans. 🇲🇽🌎

And what better throwback than this one! 📸

Back in April, our Tigers competed at the NETOLE Competition at ETAMU, where their "Las Alazanas" dance earned 1st PLACE! 🥇💃

🍎 Investing in great teachers means investing in our Tigers! 🐯

Commerce ISD is proud to participate in the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), a Texas program that provides additional compensation opportunities for teachers who earn state designations based on student growth and classroom performance.

And there's good news for 2026-27! 🎉 TIA allotment amounts increased at EVERY Commerce ISD campus under the updated state funding formula.

Our teachers do incredible work every day, and it's a priority for Commerce ISD to help them access every compensation opportunity available to recognize that work. TIA is another way we can invest in the talented educators who choose to serve our Tigers.

We're growing opportunities for our teachers while keeping the ultimate goal in sight: growth and success for our students. 🧡🖤

🏃‍♀️💨 28 TEAMS. 8 RACES. ONE BIG DAY OF CROSS COUNTRY! 🐯

The Commerce Invitational Cross Country Meet was in full swing yesterday, and we had a fantastic day playing host!

With individual medals and team plaques on the line, there was plenty of competition out on the course. 🏅 We are proud of the medals our Tigers brought home, but we're just as proud of the progress so many of our runners are making in their cross country journey.

Keep putting in the miles, Tigers! 🧡🖤
