It Starts Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, a new group of Pro-Stitcher users will gather at Fox Country Quilts for our all-inclusive retreat:

*** Pro-Stitcher Academy™ 301: Beyond the Edge ***

You know the feeling...

Your edge-to-edge quilting looks great, but then the borders show up and suddenly corners don't meet, designs won't fit, and everything gets a little... interesting.

That's exactly why Beyond the Edge was created.

Over the next few days, students will learn how to:

* Plan, crop, and stitch borders and corners with confidence
* Create seamless transitions between quilt centers and borders
* Use Include/Exclude and boundary tools like a pro
* Handle odd-sized quilts without frustration
* Save layouts for future projects and repeatable success

The result?

Beautiful quilts that look custom quilted without the stress and guesswork.

Our students often tell us:

"I finally understand how to quilt borders that fit."

And honestly, that's one of our favorite things to hear.

We're looking forward to a few days filled with learning, laughter, quilting friends, and plenty of "Aha!" moments.

If you've been thinking about taking your Pro-Stitcher skills beyond basic edge-to-edge quilting, keep an eye on our upcoming Academy dates. Your borders deserve better.

Let's have an honest quilting conversation today…

Have you ever looked at someone else's work and thought:

"Well… THEY'RE creative. I'm not."

I think far more women struggle with that feeling than we realize.

So tell me…

--> When was the moment you first started feeling creative again?

Was it: a quilt? A class? A retreat? Learning embroidery? Finally buying the sewing machine? Pulling an unfinished project back out? Someone encouraging you? Simply giving yourself permission to try?

I'd truly love to hear your story.

Permission Slip Saturday

This weekend, you have permission...

to start before you feel ready.

You do not need:
✔ more experience
✔ more confidence
✔ more time
✔ a cleaner sewing room
✔ the perfect project

Sometimes creativity doesn't return because we finally feel ready.

Sometimes it returns because we begin anyway.

So if there's a quilt you've been wanting to start...
a pattern you've been wanting to try...
or a creative dream you've been quietly carrying around...

Consider this your official permission slip.
* Start where you are.
* Use what you have.
* Trust the process.

The magic rarely happens before we begin.
It happens because we begin.

What creative project is calling your name this weekend?

"Creativity does not disappear. It waits."

Sometimes it waits beneath careers, responsibilities, caregiving, schedules, perfectionism, and years of putting everyone else first.

And then one day… a quilt class, a sewing machine, a sketchbook, a ball of yarn, or a piece of fabric quietly wakes something back up again.

I think there are far fewer 'uncreative' people than there are people who simply stopped giving themselves permission to create.

Have you ever gone through a season where you stopped creating… and then found your way back?

SHE'S HERE... AND SHE BROUGHT HER SISTER!

Today is the day!

Only 200 Pink Amara 20s with Pro-Stitcher were made, and somehow... TWO of them landed at Fox Country Quilts!

Meet the longarm machine that's equal parts quilting powerhouse and 1980s dream machine.

! Pink? Absolutely.
! Powerful? You bet.
! Guaranteed to make your sewing room jealous? Also yes.

She comes loaded with special accessories, a whole lot of personality, and enough pink-powered confidence to make every quilt feel like it deserves its own theme song.

* Cue the neon lights.
* Turn up the cassette player.
* Prepare for serious quilting nostalgia.

But fair warning...

These girls are looking for forever sewing rooms.

Come see them in person, take a test drive, snap a selfie, and find out why quilters everywhere are falling in love with this limited-edition beauty.

- Only 200 were made.
- We have 2.
- How many will we have next week? That's up to you!

Somewhere along the way, many women stopped calling themselves creative.

Not because they stopped creating…
but because life got busy.

Careers. Families. Responsibilities. Schedules. Taking care of everyone else first.

And slowly, creativity got moved into the 'someday' pile right beside the fabric we were saving for the perfect project.

Today on the blog, I'm sharing a new piece about creativity, identity, perfectionism, and why making things still matters more than ever.

If you've ever said:
"I'm not artistic."
"I just follow patterns."
"I'm not really creative…"

This post is for you.
