Rewired this Behringer BG412H cab to be 4 ohms instead of stereo 8 ohms/mono 16 ohms. Still outfitted with the original Jensen speakers from the early 2000s!
A 4 ohm guitar cab allows an amp to deliver more power, resulting in increased volume and a potentially "fuller" sound compared to an 8 ohm cab, as lower impedance draws more current. This can also make the speaker more sensitive, enhancing its output, though the sound difference is purely subjective.
