You don’t have to do this alone. 🤍
Family Planning, Pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood can feel overwhelming, but the right support changes everything.
A Perinatal Support Specialist (PSS) walks with you through every stage… not just one moment.
Before birth.
After birth.
And into early childhood.
Because real support isn’t temporary, it’s consistent, personal, and built around you and your family.
✨ You deserve support
✨ Your family deserves support
✨ And we’re here to provide it
If you or someone you know could benefit from this kind of care, reach out.

This Black Maternal Health Week, in honor of the Black Mamas Matter Alliance theme “Rooted in Justice and Joy,” we honored both and answered the call to Rest.
We are the Mamas.
The Aunties.
The Grandmothers.
The Sisters.
The Godmothers.
So in honor of this week, we chose to restore and connect. To find our joy, together.
Because caring for our community also means caring for ourselves…
Our team spent 5 days ROOTTed in Miami, taking intentional time to rest, reconnect, and pour back into ourselves.
We return replenished, reconnected, and ready to continue the work with care for our community and for ourselves.
Happy Black Maternal Health Week 2026 🤎
THIS is how WE ROOTT! Thank you for 9 incredible years! We look forward to growing with all of you. 🤎

Grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every person who showed up with intention at the First Fridays Spring Fling.
Spaces like these remind us that community is not just something we talk about, it’s something we build, together.
At ROOTT, we remain committed to showing up, pouring into our people, and creating pathways toward healthier families and stronger futures.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a moment, and continues to support this work. The impact is real, and it starts with all of us.

As this month comes to a close, we also want to recognize that March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙
Colorectal cancer doesn’t always show obvious signs early—but listening to your body can save your life.
Cases are rising, especially among people under 50. That’s why awareness, early detection, and regular screenings matter more than ever.
Know the signs. Don’t ignore symptoms. Get checked.
Early detection saves lives. 💙
(Symptoms can vary—talk to a healthcare provider about screening if you have any concerns.)

Today, ROOTT had the honor of being present at the Women’s Health Fair at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Outpatient Center, connecting with Veteran and Active Duty families who hold such a meaningful place in our work and our hearts.
Moments like this carry deeper meaning. They reflect a legacy of service, resilience, and sacrifice, especially for those whose stories have not always been fully honored.
This work is about more than resources, it’s about showing up with intention, building trust, and creating space for community.
We are grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every opportunity to serve.
We will continue to carry that torch forward 🤍

Many of us were taught to normalize pain that was never normal...
This Endometriosis awareness month we’re challenging the myths and advocating for care that listens, believes, and responds.
If your body is speaking, listen.
Your pain is real and it should be treated like it is.

“One of the darkest moments in US history was the systematic eradication of the African American midwife from her community, resulting in a legacy of birth injustices.”
Shafia M. Monroe, DEM, CDT, MPH
We must remember the path of those who came before us if we are to build a safer and stronger path for those who will follow.
Today, ROOTT honors the legacy of Black midwives whose knowledge, resilience, and dedication created the foundation that allows this work to continue.
Happy Black Midwives Day

We were honored to be part of the Maternal Mental Health Summit this weekend at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
It was a powerful day of connection, conversation, and community, centered around maternal mental health and supporting families.
Thank you to for bringing together advocates, providers, and organizations committed to this important work.
We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by our table and continues to support the mission of Restoring Our Own Through Transformation. Together, we are building stronger support systems for mothers and families.

As Black History Month comes to a close, we honor the generations of birth workers and midwives who carried sacred knowledge across continents, through enslavement, and into the present.
Black midwives and birth workers built systems of care long before they were formally recognized. Their wisdom, skill, and resistance continue to shape birth work and reproductive justice today.
At ROOTT, we are rooted in that legacy—committed to community-centered, culturally responsive care that uplifts Black and other marginalized families.
