81 years ago 156,000 American, British, and Canadian servicemen landed on five beaches across the Normandy region of France... the invasion was one of the largest amphibious military assaults in history.

Wonderful event accessible online

I am an Ohio Chapter American Legion member (Post 83, Member ID 201492239). Also a member of the I-NExT Kiwanis club (on-line club in the Ohio District of Kiwanis). We are having an outstanding program, on line via Zoom, on December 1st (Sunday) at 8 PM titled Return to Normandy. The program will be by Colonel Larry F Icenogle, US Army Retired. I have attached his biography and picture to this email. COL Icenogle recently gave this program in person to the Downtown Columbus Kiwanis club and those attending said what a great program. As we approach Dec 7th and Pearl Harbor Day we felt this was an excellent choice of a program for our club. Thus, we would like to pass the word out to those in leadership, staff, etc at the Ohio Chapter American Legion. Like to see it shared with those you feel would have an interest. The program is via Zoom computer platform so no one has to travel to attend. Sure you are familiar with Zoom. Our club secretary can be notified via email and she will then send out the Zoom link to attend. Programs usually last 30 - 45 minutes. Given its on line is particularly beneficial to individuals that are physically challenged to attend in person.

Contact for our club secretary is: Cindy Champer, [email protected]

Please feel free to contact me. My contact info is Robert (Bob) Williams, 731 Salem Drive, Huron, Ohio 44839, (Home) 419-433-3798, (Cell) 440-227-2875, ( [email protected] ) . I am a member of I-NExT Kiwanis club and of course Ohio Chapter American Legion. This year serve as VP and program chair for our Kiwanis club.
