Walking in the Wilderness Life in the wilderness! In some ways it was glorious and in other ways it was disappointing and difficult. The children of Israel were redeemed out of Egypt, miraculously crossed the Red Sea, and sang a great song of praise as seen in Exodus 12–15.

Tomorrow on Shabbat Shavuot May 23rd, Beth Messiah welcomes Pastor Gerald Murphy from Garden City Church in Columbus. Pastor Murphy has a passion for prayer, discipleship, unity, and sharing the Good News. He plays a significant role in many outreaches in Central Ohio and beyond. He is a great friend of Israel, the Jewish people, Beth Messiah Congregation and the Messianic Studies Institute. He continues to raise the awareness of BMC and MSI to the local Christian community. We are so thankful to Pastor Murphy for his encouragement and we welcome him on May 23rd as we celebrate Shavuot! 🌾🧀

Happy Shavuot! 🌾🧀 Shavuot not only holds dual significance marking the wheat harvest and the giving of the Torah (מתן תורה) on Mount Sinai, but additional meaning for us as followers of Yeshua. We celebrate the outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh in Acts 2. Shavuot reminds us how HaShem continues to work throughout history!

Everybody Counts This week we begin the Book of Numbers. The Hebrew name of it is Bamidbar which translates in English to “In the Wilderness.” The Book of Numbers describes the journey of Israel from Sinai to the Plains of Moab just before entering the land.

We had such an amazing time at our Combined Youth Experience!

We’re so grateful for a time of powerful testimonies, worship, and fellowship centered around Matthew 19:26 - “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Thank you to everyone who came and helped make it such a meaningful evening!

Choose Life! 05/08/2026

When we embrace the Messiah, who is called the wisdom of God in 1 Cor. 1:24, we walk in His wisdom by making choices that demonstrate our allegiance to him - even if that is not a step with the culture.

Torah: Leviticus 25:1–27:34
Haftarah: Jeremiah 16:19–17:14
B’rit Chadashah: Matthew 21:1–17

Choose Life! What a “Wondrous Wisdom Weekend” we had with Dr. Ellie Paley. We learned that wisdom is found when we choose the way of Adonai that is rooted in the creation order of God.
