Kristy has been hunting vintage maps for 15 years — rescuing forgotten atlases from dusty basements and turning them into keepsakes for people who love a place. Whether it's your hometown, your favorite lake, or that trip you'll never forget, Daisy Mae Designs makes gifts that feel personal because they actually are. Inspired keepsakes for a well-traveled life. As seen on the Today Show, GMA, and Country Living.

Ran into a fellow Ohioan at the Leland pop-up — turns out we’re practically neighbors back home. She ordered an Ohio pillow and is swinging by to pick it up from my porch. Sometimes you have to travel to Northern Michigan to shop local.

We just got a little love from St. Louis Magazine! 🙌

Our St. Louis map coasters were featured in their "Ask Veronica" column as one of 7 St. Louis-style host gifts worth traveling with this summer. If you're heading out of town, they're the perfect thing to tuck in your bag for your host.

Find them at the Missouri History Museum shop — or online at daisymaedesigns.net.

One last stop on our way home from Michigan: the National Museum of the Great Lakes in Toledo.

I didn’t make it onto the ships in port this time, but this place is going on the must-do list. A few hours here looks like the perfect deep dive into Great Lakes history. Have you been?

They’ve been a fantastic supporter of our business, with our products all over their gift shop 🩷

Today is my last day open at the Art Shanty in Fishtown, and I'm reflecting on this beautiful week.

Waking up to the smell of smoked fish drifting off the docks. Falling asleep to the sound of the dam. The kind of slow, unhurried pace that reminds you what summer is actually supposed to feel like.

The shopkeepers here welcomed me like I'd always been part of this place. A local named Jim stopped by more than once just to share little pieces of Fishtown history I could pass along to curious visitors. The Fishtown Preservation Society is quietly doing something really special here, and you feel it in every corner of this town.

What got me most were the stories. Families who have been making the trip up here for generations. College kids who come back every summer, some traveling all the way from Europe, because this place just has a hold on them.

And watching people pick up one of our Michigan maps or Leelanau pieces and say "this is exactly what I've been looking for" -- that's why I do this. A way to take a little piece of this place home with them.

Fishtown has a hold on me too.

If you haven't been to Leland, Michigan, put it on your list. And if you have, you already know.

One of my favorite parts of this trip has been getting to visit some of the shops that carry our products.

On my way from Traverse City to Leland, I made a stop in Northport, right at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, to visit Shaun at Enjoy Michigan. They carry our Sleeping Bear Dunes coasters, and I couldn’t leave without taking a look around.

The second I walked in, I knew it was my kind of place. Vintage treasures, Michigan-made goods, and so much character packed into one shop. If you’ve been following along for a while, you know I have a soft spot for anything with a little history, so this place felt right up my alley.

If you’re exploring Leelanau County this summer, it’s definitely worth a stop.
