Transformation

As Jesus’ followers, we want to grow and change spiritually. More than two millennia ago, Jesus told His disciples how that can happen. He said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me” (John 15:4). Jesus is the Vine and we, His followers, are the branches. If we’re honest, we know we’re utterly helpless and spiritually ineffective apart from Him.

What Do People See In You?

“Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; and walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance. The song writer says he wants the world to to see the Christ in him. I like that. How about you?

They should see Him In our walk, and in our talk. In the love that we show towards one another.

Jesus said: they shall know you by the love you have for one another.

He also said, they will know you by the fruit you bear.

What is the world seeing in you?

The Law of Love

Jesus gave a new commandment and it is “love one another as He loves”.

James says we are under the Royal Law of Love. Royal means highest, supreme. So love is the highest law of Christ.

As sons of God we are called to walk in love and this is love:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV

God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, you're amazing, your care for me, your love for me, and your provision for me is just amazing.

I can't help think but how miserable life would be if your presence ever left me. The joy you give, the peace you offer, your Spirit you promise, it's all so amazing.

Your patience as I figured out whether or not I was going to give you my whole heart is amazing.

You are my Alpha and my Omega, OH MY God!!! you're amazing. You have answered my prayers, you've take care of me in my despair, God you're amazing.

Your Instructions

In this season what is the Holy Spirit directing you to do?

Whatever it is, out of your love for The Most High and His Son, do it. Don’t miss your opportunity to be blessed and to be a blessing. Your obedience will bring glory to God the Father.

You may think you don’t have enough of what it takes to accomplish what you’ve been asked to do. But just take what you have and be obedient.

The Spirit wouldn’t ask you to do what you weren’t capable of doing.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,”
Ephesians 3:20 AMP

Influencers

We live in a time where people have become content writers and influencers.

Content writers are replacing reporters and the influencers are replacing parents.

But as believers in Jesus Christ, He is our Content writer and the Holy Spirit is our influencer.

In this world of content writers and influencers, let us followers of Christ and make sure that we receive our content from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by way of the Holy Spirit and let the influence of the word of God along with the leading of Holy Spirit.

Those that are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.

It's Okay To Ask God For Things

Truly it is okay to ask God for things, because the Scripture teaches us we have not because we asked not.

But here's the deal, in all our asking how much doing are we doing? Are we living the way He ask us to? Are we loving our neighbors as He commands us to? Are we forgiving the way He tells us to? Are we being followers of Christ? Is our asking out of a desire for what someone else has?

So in short before we ask we might want to check and make sure we are abiding in Him in His and His word is abiding in us.

My prayer for us today

My prayer for us today is that in the midst of our situation(s) God will give us resolve. That we would come to know with clarity the purpose of God in the midst of all that we’re going through and experiencing. That we would receive the wisdom of God, to carry out His purpose and that He would be glorified by our behavior and character in the midst of our situation.

But most of all that we would come to know and experience the depth of His love, authority and power in our lives.

My we grab Holt to his peace and joy.

Today I just want to encourage you to be about the Father's business not about your business.

The Father is glorified as we live sacrificial lives, lives of obedience to His will and His ways.

So be of good cheer as you live this life for Yahweh.
