This one did — literally and figuratively.
SŌW Plated is more than a restaurant. It's a mission built around a simple but powerful idea: food is medicine. Founders Sunny and John Fahlgren created SŌW to inspire healthier, happier communities through great food, genuine hospitality, and a real commitment to the connection between what you eat and how you feel.
We worked with them from the very start — building the visual identity and brand system for their first location in Upper Arlington. The goal was a flexible logo and brand system that could grow with them. And grow it did — into SŌW To Go cafés, an organic market, wine, merchandise, and Live SŌW Well, a community wellness event series.
One brand. Many expressions. All rooted in the same identity we built together.

Big thanks to Neenah Paper and Packaging for featuring our self-promo brochure on The Idea Shop blog after our favorite rep, Hope Sowders, fell in love with a recent project we printed entirely on Neenah stock. Safe to say we were pretty excited when this one made the cut.

We got to help build Charge — American Electric Power - AEP's technology incubator with a vision of Powering What's Next in the energy sector.
Charge had something most new brands don't: a clear sense of who they were from day one. They came to us with an internally developed logo and a purpose that was genuinely exciting. What they needed was the foundation to make it all feel as legitimate on the outside as it did on the inside.
So we got to work — brand architecture, voice and tone, a core narrative rooted in ‘Thoughtful and Deliberate Innovation’, a new logo system, a signature ‘pathway’ graphic, brand applications, and a startup playbook their team could run with independently.
The goal was a brand that could show up, launch products, and grow without us.
We made something we're proud of. We'll let the work spark more conversation.

In 2015, 4-year-old us got invited to pitch for Ohio State’s graduate school website. What started as one project turned into something bigger: a real, lasting partnership. One built on showing up, doing the work, and proving — again and again — that we were the right team for the job.
As OSU has grown, so has its digital ecosystem — moving from standalone sites to more connected, accessible, and purpose-built experiences. Along the way, we’ve helped bring dozens of those experiences to life across various departments.

Imagine your journey to relief feeling more like a walk through the park rather than a trip to the pharmacy. That’s the idea behind hōn.
When Ohio’s medical 🌿 market first opened, it moved fast — new rules, new products, and patients trying to navigate a completely unfamiliar path to relief. Around that time, a family-owned medicinal plant company came to us with a simple belief: plant medicine can help people — but only if patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported along the way.
They were already operating that way. The brand just hadn’t caught up yet.
So we built one. We developed the name, narrative, and identity system around helping patients hone in on the right product for them. And calm ocean blues, botanical greens, and nature-inspired imagery brought a sense of comfort, ease, and transparency to a complicated category.

→ A scalable foundation for packaging, digital, and education
Today, hōn stands as a thoughtful and trusted presence in herbal remedy products.
2025 gave us the chance to build some great things with some great brands. Along the way we celebrated life events, cheered each other on, and picked up a few awards too.
A pretty damn good year.

A brand built to give property owners one thing they rarely get after a storm: peace of mind.
HailSolve does something most people don't think about until it's too late. They help commercial property owners find hail damage before it quietly becomes a much bigger and costly problem. Founded in Tennessee after a serious tornado, they set out to be the calm, professional alternative to “storm chasers” — contractors who show up after major weather events and prioritize speed over the kind of long-term relationship commercial property owners actually need.
Their business was growing quickly, but client-facing materials were still living in Word and Excel. Nothing wrong with that. Just not a brand system built for a company operating at this scale.
So we built one.
